Compuserve Con Artists Rebate Rip off Scam

We're so sorry we fell for the Compuserve rebate scam before finding this website. Woe is us. We have the same complaint as everyone else. They owe us $400 & haven't sent the r4ebate check.

Bought computer & signed up for Compuserve on-line in August 2001. Received letter in September saying we hadn't signed up with Compuserve. Called them, were told it was all straightened out. After 2 months & no check, called again & was told there had been an accounting problem in September when the Compuserve rep. handled our phone call. Check to arrive in 8-10 weeks.

It is now late December & called Compuserve today. Could get no information about revate status from Compuserve rep. on phone, not even reps ID # which have obtained in previous calls. Compuserve rep. offered to send new check to arrive 8-10 weeks. Very funny.

Also having trouble getting $100 rebate out of CompUSA. The only reputable company in the whole deal was Hewlitt-Packard who manged to get us our $150 rebate from the same computer sales transaction within 4-6 weeks of purchase. Don't know what to do next so am looking on-line for information about where to file complaints about Compuserve. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks. M & M
