I had the displeasure of wasting six months of my life for this so called "winning lottery ticket" called DS-MAX. I guess I can blame my youth and inexpierience in the ways of underhanded business practices to all of this. I guess I should have wondered how exactly they were able to guarantee me a six figure a salary after only six months of work with no prior expierience in the field of cold call, door to door sales.

My story is not really any different than anyone elses here. I was wooed by promises of big money, flirty female employees, and a bright future.

Six months went by and after building my so called "team," 40K miles on my car, two pairs of shoes, almost losing my home, two "road trip" weeks out of my own pocket, and countless 12-14 hour days, I had not moved an inch and made little to no money. At least I got a free trip to Chicago out it.

I suppose enough employees and ripped off customers finally got the best of Comquest Marketing near Atlanta, GA, so Chris Autwarter gathered up his pack of lies and moved the office to New York to unleash the rain of utter bullshit across the Big Apple. An extra word of advice for Mr. Autwarter: Stop looking at porn on your laptop at work. When you think others aren't around, they are. Loser.

The lesson learned: If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is.

Moving on,
D

#8 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Wake up

AUTHOR: Brad - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 27, 2008

Even with the absurd amount of ripoff reports on companies like DS-Max, Cydcor, etc, people still buy into it, as Laura has shown.

I was an employee at one of the branches here in Boston. I made BANK and was asked to start taking applicants out with me. Before that happened, we were supposed to go to a national conference. And I had to pay my own way. That was it for me...I got out the next day, so your argument about those who "can't cut it" just went right out the window. I was ringing that stupid bell every day, bringing home $150+ a day, had 3 applicants lined up to go out with me, yada yada yada.

Now, Laura, as myself and everybody else who got out knows, it is easy to get brainwashed by these scam-artists. You've thrown logic out the window and now you're trying to rationalize this "company" because they promised you a rich future. In another month or two, you'll realize how ridiculous the company is. Maybe you'll curse them, maybe you won't. I didn't because I decided to take an important lesson away from it all...if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I'd check this out and see if it gives you a good knock in the head:

I feel bad for you Laura

AUTHOR: The Truth - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, August 01, 2008

Laura you are only two months in so i can see why you believe in the opportunity so much. Soon you will realize that it is all a scam. Also about the road trips, any real company pays for gas and food on business trips this one doesn't because the owners make no money. Go check out where your owner lives and see if he/she lives with anyone from work I bet they do. And pleasssssssse send me a post card when you make it to national consultant hahahaha thatll be the day. You are naive right now and beleive anything those dummies tell you it is understandable, be careful everyone in that business lies about everything.

NOT A SCAM: You are the reason for your failure. Get over yourself

AUTHOR: Laura - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 30, 2008

The fact of the matter is that all the allegations are not true. This business is not for everyone. It is made crystal clear. If you didn't get that at the beginning it's completely your fault. The money is real. If you are not productive or making money, it's completely your fault. If you lost your home, that's your fault. People working for fortune 500 companies are losing their homes as well and it's due to a lack of budgeting and financial responsibility. That's absolutely fine that you want to vent, but see a counselor, not bash someone on the internet. I've been with the company for over 2 months and I love every single day of it. It's awesome. The opportunity is real and if it didn't work out for you that's too bad. It's YOUR FAULT! No one is made you stay with the company of tied you to anything. It was a choice you made that didn't go your way. While Chris, cydcor and other companies are raking in millions and you are sitting behind a desk doing countless hours of nothing, we are creating a future for ourselves and each other. Get over yourself and leave the company and the business alone.

1.Business trips are paid in full by the manager and the only thing that comes out of pocket is food and gas. So what you are saying is either outdated or a flat out LIE!
2. There is something called an autolog. You should have been keeping track of your miles and claimed them on your tax returns as well as your gas receipts.

Our assistant manager is going to be opening up pretty soon and once the tangible results of that come into play, in the end it doesn't matter what the endless comments are that people have to say. Gossip is not a way to vent and is not true more than 90% of the time. Grow up. Taking the time out to disrespect someone who gave you such an opportunity that you blew is all your fault and when I become senior national consultant, I'll be sure to send you a postcard because you are a long way from the top where i'll be sitting.

LOSER!

Oh and PC. If I was manager i'd have playboys and penthouse magazine in the lobby. SO?

Com Quest Marketing in NY pathetic as well

AUTHOR: Kerri Ann - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 29, 2004

Chris still doesnt realize we know what hes looking at on the computer. oh well. LOL- crazy owners. Com quest may be in the top ten for cydcor but only because of chris's shady ways.

They're all bad. And unfortunately all VERY SIMILAR. Bastards.

I previously defended Cydcor, Com Quest Marketing, Northside Marketing, Marketing Endeavors, Pinnacle and CarterMorris Inc all over the internet, before and after i quit, thinking back on it all now i just feel silly.

Looking back at it now i am beyond relieved that i quit and i look back at my time with Cydcor as a waste of time and energy, and there is still alot of amazing people working for them and its a shame because its a waste of talent as well. (You guys rock and i love you still and i wish you the best and hope you find what you're looking for without getting corrupted like our owners- i don't write this to bash you, you)
are all hard workers and amazing people who i'll never forget- i give you credit for still plowing along through it all)

I learned some simple sales skills that you can learn from a book, and though i made my share of money it wasn't worth it as i even cheated my own relatives by switching them to a service i thought and was told by my management was cheaper and better for them. So i must have screwed over a large number of people that i previously thought i was helping. When i brought it to my manager he informed me that he had no idea why the bill was like that. Nice.

These people have no morals whatsoever and karma is a b***h.

To this day i still regret that i hadn't looked up Cydcor on the internet earlier and saved myself the trouble. I'm not going to lie, i made a lot of money, but it's just not worth it in the long run.

People may say "oh, you just couldn't cut it", i know, i said the same thing, but i DID cut it., i made a lot of money and i was very good at what i did, i was a leader and all that jazz, but i look back at it all with total shame.

I should have thought things were shady when they told me i would have to pay for my own gas to and from the field,
that i had no choice but to drive coworkers into the field and even home,
that i should pay for my "day of o"s lunch,
that saturday meetings were mandatory (although they were repeats of things we went over a million times),
that we need to withold information about cydcor from our "new guys"...

and the best...

that we have to 'build break build" our new guys on our teams. I learned that when i became a leader and i look back on my leader breaking me and how i was in tears until he built me back up again.

I was also told "why the hell not, we should hire them cuz they're hot". My boss dated his staff. Regularly. And loved checking porn where we all could see in his office. Smooth. Like sandpaper buddy.
Girls were sexually harassed and nothing was done about it, the guy continues probably to this day to work there while 2 girls quit because of him.

A coworker was told he had to have visiting road trip people stay at his place because it "would be a good learning experience"- the people were at his house before he had the chance to say no.
We were told our friends stressed us out and they didn't understand and they'll be working at Papa Johns while we have our own office. I call bullshit on that. And one guy was even told his answering maching message on his personal cellphone wasn't professional enough and to change it.

Oh yes, and boots my coworker had been wearing for 3 weeks in the field were suddenly not professional enough after she claimed a coworker had made unwanted advanced to her. All of a sudden it was "would Brandie wear those boots? I dont think so". Ummm sure buddy- We aren't Brandie Rucks, if you hadn't noticed.

This mother of three that begam working with me thinking it was a legit marketing job ended up not getting a paycheck for 5 and a half weeks after being promised one after two, then got offered an advance of $100 just to get her by. Three kids on a hundred bucks for 3 weeks plus just does not work.

The topping on the cake was watching our dear Avie Roth rip into my coworkers telling them that they don't know their goals so maybe they should rethink their job and they dont know their team members well enough (after only knowing them for a week) and you've been here for 4 months and you're not in assistant management...why? Maybe you should rethink your career oppertunities. These poor kids who ate slept and breathed Cydcor looked like they would burst into tears. It was their Siddartha telling them they sucked. So sad.

Check out this website and you'll understand Cydcor and its little subsidiaries like Northside, CarterMorris, Pinnacle, Com-Quest (NY-Chris Auwarter, Jonathans promoting manager)Marketing Endeavors (GA- Brandie Rucks, Chris Auwarters promoting manager), etc...

http://wolfram.org/scam/cydcor.html

they are all the same, they just have different owners.

check out www.cydcoruniversity.com as well for proof that they all go by the same crap, or just notice the similarities between:

www.cartermorrisinc.com and
www.comquestmarketing.com and
www.marketingendeavors.com

.... its actually kind of amusing!
Or you can yahoo search for "DS-MAX the aftermath", that page is informative as well....

I'm just glad i can look back at it and laugh now, and i hope you all check this out it might save you the pain it caused me. Winning lotto ticket... sure...

Marketing Endeavors/Cydcor WHAT A SCAM!

AUTHOR: M - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 16, 2004

I, too, was sucked into the scam that is Marketing Endeavors in Atlanta, GA. This company claims that within months you will be able to make six figures a year, afford whatever you want, and open your OWN OFFICE anywhere in the US!

Please, if you respect yourself, your future, and your reputation---DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. They are about 2 steps away from being an outright cult. I had my first interview, and when I mentioned I was a Marketing major, my "leader" was practically salivating. I was asked to return for a second interview (they failed to mention the interview would entail door to door sales mixed w/ pop quizzes about their own glossary of "Marketing" terms for 10 hrs. in the GA July heat)

However, I'm not one to prejudge or give up easily, so when they offered me a position-I accepted. I worked my a$$ off for nearly 4 months, but never made a "leader" out of myself.
I tried to smile all the time, and keep a positive attitude in "Atmosphere", and then the first business trip happened.

We went to Macon to do selling with another subsidiary of Cydcor. I felt sick when I realized what was really happening here. We were "marketing" for NuPower Gas (now out of business) and walking around some of the poorest (and dangerous) neighborhoods of the area. We were outright lying to impoverished elderly people about the money they would save by switching their gas providers to NuPower. Many did.

When NuPower went under 5 months later, these poor people were left in limbo wondering if they would have heat for the winter.

The only reason I didn't leave the company after that, is because I was re-assigned to a different "campaign" this time selling DSL. I was given to opportunity to work in New Orleans for a week on this gig. I went, had to drive my own car for the 8 hr. trip, then to my amazement--we had NO hotel accomodations. We were shacked up with the owner of a New Orleans Cydcor subsidiary with about 6 other people. This made me wonder, if the girl who opened her company in New Orleans (she was apparently a legend who had worked her way all the way up) was doing SO financially well...why in the hell was she sharing a sub-habitable apartment in Metairie, LA with 3 other people? And sharing a car with her roommates every day?

While in New Orleans, I was reprimanded for cursing in the field (nowhere near a potential customer) because my car hit a ditch and nearly got 2 flat tires. When I finally returned home, I never went back to work for them. These people (and I don't mean all of them---just most) are crooks. Thankfully I now have a REAL job, and I can warn others about the cultlike surreality of Marketing Endeavors. Any company is better than this one!
