Concrete Crawlspaces uses a spam method of misrepresenting themselves under many fake names in the Chicago waterproofing market.  They spam multiple business names (some being used by real local businesses in the area) and then push them out online for their actua brand.  One for instance is "Basement Waterproofing Corporation"... ie  www.basementwaterproofingcorp.com.  Only one problem, Gavin has never incorporated under that name while another business actually is. They have been made aware of their need to sue him. Gavin has his team spam google maps with numerous fake listings at the same address, and this is the latest.  Rather than simply follow the Google TOS, one address for one business and no spoofed duplicates, he chooses to go all in with multiples. ie.. here and here

We contacted Concrete Crawlspaces to ask why he feels it is just to infringe on other business brands just to push competition out of the Chicago market and make it appear as though the businesses on the front page of Google are competing, all the while he is running them. His response was, and I quote "DBA Common Business Practice".  He seemed to miss the portion where using the name of your competing business, the one who actually did file incorporation and is located inteh state of New York, was both unethical and a violation of trademark. 

His business model apparently consists of employing (taking advantage of) people coming out of rehabs to get them working for him on the cheap. The result of this method is that a lot of the jobs come up quite short, and are done half a****. There are many jobs that have to be done twice, and have call-backs on them due to cracking, poor floating of the concrete, and damage to people's homes. It also makes for a poor working environment where people are being taken advantage of, know it, but have little choice since their options are being squeezed. He did the same with several business consultants who contacted him through the years.  A few have been invited in to share their thoughts of direction with him, onlyto have him demand their plans in writing then never call them back. He instead too their ideas and their intelectual property and tried to replicate it himself... with lackluster results. 

Seriously, from both a business and consumer standpoint, this company and its leadership are absolute ripoffs.
