GreenWebProperties is more incompetent than evil. Their way of doing business is frustrating and prone to errors that could be interpreted as a rip-off attempt. I had successfully ordered and received products from them a couple of years ago, so I figured they were still Ok. But this is what happened this time.
I ordered product on 8/5 online, with the "insured and tracked" shipping option. I received an order confirmation email the same day. Received another email a few hours later saying that the order shipped (but it did not include any tracking info). My credit card was also billed on 8/5.
It should only take 2 days for priority mail to get from CA to AZ, so on 8/13 it was clear that something had gone wrong. So I submitted an inquiry via their "Contact Us" form. They did not reply. Tried again on 8/15 via both Contact Us and to email@example.com. Again, no reply.
On 8/17 I received an email saying the product I ordered had been discontinued and asking me to choose either a substitute product or a refund. So I replied via email and called them. I got a real person and asked them to cancel the order; no problem. A day later I got a response to my email too.
So they don't respond to submissions from their "Contact Us" form, but they do sometimes respond if you email them at firstname.lastname@example.org (but this email address isn't published on their web site). And they do answer the phone. And they did credit my credit card account for the order amount.
Although I wouldn't recommend this store (they're too difficult to deal with), I don't think they are intentionally ripping people off on a regular basis. But I can sure see how it could happen by "accident".
