In Febuary of 2007 Buy.com offered a Hannspree 32" LCD TV with a $150 rebate through Connect 3D. Being a sceptical person to begin with after I received my TV I made copies of all receipts and documentation. I then sent my documentation to Connect 3D via certified mail with a signature receipt. This way I knew they had received my documents. This all happened in Febuary. Many many weeks went by with no check in the mailbox. I finally got an email from Connect 3D on March 30. It stated that my rebate was in process. It is 7/27/07 I finally had some time to research what was going on with this situation. I called the number on the email notification to find it had been disconnected - surprise! So, I decided to get online and see what I could find. Well, low and behold seems this was a rip-off perpatrated by Connect 3D on many unsuspecting consumers that purchased items through Buy.com. A word to Buy.com in the future it would be advisable to check out your rebate promoters before making the offers. I personally will never purchase another product from Buy.com nor recommend them to anyone I know. It is hard enough to trust retailers these days. Unfortunately these sort of experiences just deepen the distrust.
