I purchased the brand name Vidal Sassoon Professional Clippers model number VSCL830 on November 2nd 2012. When I used them for the first time on November 7th to cut my sons hair, half way through the cut they stopped cutting his hair. it was around 7:30. It was on a Wednesday night.
I rushed back to the store as they were closing. I explained to the lady what had happened,after she first tried to tell me they didn't sell that brand name, she told me to return in the morning with the receipt. I went home to dig through the trash for it and found it. Meanwhile had to find someone to fix my sons hair before school the next day.
The next morning of the 8th, I went to the store at 10am with the clippers and the receipt as she told me to. When I got there, I went directly to the case where I got the one I got, because I remembered how she tried to say she didnt sell this brand and I saw another like it in the case. Then she asked what was wrong and I explained what had happened that I was cutting my sons hair and that it was barely cutting his hair, like the motor was barely moving.
Then it was like she was trying to act like that was what it was suppose to do. She said that it was not professional clippers and that if I wanted professional clippers I should have paid more money for the high dollar ones. The Vidal Sassoon ones I bought were $30.00 but apparently that's not high dollar enough. She said she isn't responsible for that and they have a no refund policy, even though last night she told me to come back today with my receipt. There is no such thing as a slow motor clipper.
Only a broke pair of clippers. I feel if that is going to be her position then she should post signs in her store to let all her customers know that she is selling low quality junk that isn't worth the dollar that they are paying. I am a full time student with no job. need my $30.00 back. I bought those clippers because I have an autistic son who wont sit in barber shop. I need my money back to get a working pair. This isn't right.
I made this complaint to the BBB and she replied with the same answer. She basically is giving me no refund and said i need to take my complaint to the manufacturer. It is unacceptable. She needs to know that people do not like to do business with people like her. I will make it my mission to let everyone in the 27406 zip code know about her. Merry Christmas!
