Hello, I have been working on something for almost a year now. There is a seller on ebay that is selling about 33% of junk to customers. I contact everyone that leave negative feedback with them & send the following message:
Here are some links for filing a complaint. This one is the most important one to file at, we have actually seen them contact surplus &made them give money back at
(also listed below)
Secondly I highly suggest you at least file with the IFCC (second one listed) It only takes a few minutes &I am providing generally all the info. I have included all the addresses &phone numbers for surplusdealz.
Thirdly is a local investigative TV station that is right down the road from surplus, they seem really interested &you should just click on there site let them know your another victim. www.wsmv.com. So please take the time to help get these crooks stopped!
Do file with your credit card company, put a dispute against the charges. Tell the card company you dispute the charges because avoid telling them about the as-is clause, they don't need to hear that. I did tell my cc company about the as-is but the did frown on it. The charges have been off for 3 months now. The more complaints that they hear about this company, the more likely they will not allow any charges go thru from the company U-bid. Thanks
Here is the sellers info you will need when you file

Internet Fraud Complaint Center - The Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C). IFCC's mission is to address fraud committed over the Internet. They will investigate large scale fraud cases or repetitive patterns of fraud perpetrated by the same individual.
SECOND GROUP OF LINKS THAT ARE IMPORTANT, BUT NOT AS IMPORTANT AS THE ABOVE:
Federal Trade Commission - As part of an international group of consumer protection agencies, the FTC monitors an online complaint site called econsumers.gov . Although they do not resolve individual consumer problems, complaints are used to help investigate fraud, and can lead to law enforcement action.
National Fraud Information Center - The NFIC helps consumers distinguish between legitimate and fraudulent promotions in cyberspace and route reports of suspected fraud to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
Another email I just received strongly encourages to email your situation/complaints/concerns to:
joyce.hughey@state of tennesse
I know for a fact that there are many of people that have file with all the above, and nothing has been done. I have been communicating with a Nancy Amons @wsmv, channel 4 news I think out of Tennesse. She was investigation this situation &here is one of hers &mine emails back in July 2004:

I was the one that started the crusade against Surplusdealz05 on ebays website. Were you ever able to investigate them &do a news story? The last I heard was a few months ago, & you were looking for someone in that area that was one of there victims. I believe I supplied you with that information, and I was just following up on this, as they are still in business and still ripping people off, left and right.

Diana, Good timing that you called. We are scheduled to begin shooting video, finally. You could be contacted by the segment producer, Pamela Furr. She will be arranging the taped interviews. Thanks for your help. I have gathered a good many war stories and have collected some interesting photos from across the country. I appreciate your patience.
