Now According To The Changing Story...

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, September 01, 2012

What you're describing is an early repayment penalty. What does the contract say? Is there a pre-payment penalty? If so, then that's what you agreed to. If you were late at any time then extra interest is generated which you must pay. So which is it? Did they tell you exactly what the additional amount is for? Did you ask?

And the BS continues.

Jim it shows how committed you are to spouting nonsense.  I was a bad payer 5 years ago after losing my job, but over the 4 past years I have paid off all my debts including CPS.  However after  I sent the final payment three months ago they invented an outstanding amount which according to them is an early payment penalty LOL.

So because I worked hard to get them paid off three months early they now want more money before they will release the lien.  As for FL it's costing us nothing to move as my employers are paying for us to relocate to Pompano Beach to manage their newly acquired property.

Out of 3 companies I fell into arrears with CPS are the only one that refuses to work with people and then when they are paid they invent extra charges to try to squeeze even more out of them.

And The Wailing Continues!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 27, 2012

The only reason you are being financed by these people is because you have a HISTORY of not paying your bills on time. Otherwise, you would be with a bank and pay lower interest rates. Its one thing to have an event which causes a financial problem but its an entirely different matter to be a habitual late payer. You're going to move to Florida? I thought you didn't have any money? Moves cost money. Incredible. Well, you just go on living your subprime life and go ahead make your threats and call me whatever names make you feel good. Adults find ways to solve problems and pay their bills rather than making excuses and wailing about the COLLECTIONS efforts they, themselves turned on!

CPS are indeed the scum of the earth.

AUTHOR: Graham1954 - (United States of America)

Despite what the company shills would like you to believe they do reflect the tactics that all CPS reps adhere to.  ie: pay your bills on time, don't even bother trying to show us that it's no fault of your own, you owe us so pay now or else, and we don't care what happened and don't even think about asking us to try to help you!

Their whole company ethic is intimidate, intimidate, intimidate.  If that doesn't work contact friends and family and illegally tell them all the details about your debt!

I expect another attack back from Jim in Orlando and Jim my wife and I  are moving to FL at the end of this month and I would like to meet you personally and provide proof that 99% of the C**P you spout is wrong or just harassment of genuine people who for no fault of their own fallen on hard times.

If CPS is not willing to work with people to help, just like most bad companies then the deserve anything that happens to them.

That people loose thier jobs, get sick, fall on hard times. Some very honest people have these problems and when these problems arise you have to prioritise your money as in: Food, water and eletric service before others. I think you should consider these things before making a a comment such as yours.

AUTHOR: stang - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 22, 2010

first of all i beged them to come and get this car! and they refused. and as far as making my payments i have worked since the day i was 15 years old! and because i have a hereditary illeness and have made every payment on time until this point? so what are you saying now? pay your bills! god forbid anything like this ever happen to you! and your in this situation. and to the other rebutal. this first day they came here for it it was in the driveway as they were shinning there lights in all the windows of my house at midnight and i have a child why not take it then? scare tactic? and it was never hidden. it sits out in plan daylight for all to see. and you do hear from them even after you pay your payments. they call and tell you that your payment is late and it is not. they call and tell you that you sent it the wrong way from money gram and when you give them the information back they cannot find the money so what is this. the are welcome like i said it sits in plain daylight for all to see! robert i have consulted with an attorney and he told me they can self help only!!!!! and he is a credit specialist! so meaning they cannot cut a lock off to get it. they cannot break into a garage where the car is. all they can do is revoke the registration. and i say good to that do it then i won't have to pay insurance anymore! second rebutal you should work for them you sound like their kind! that's what's wrong with the world today! i was told by my attorney i can drag this out for years!!!!!!

Why not pay your bills on time?  Just think, if you did that you would never ever hear from them!  What an amazing idea!  I'll bet you never even thought of that!

Be warned...

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, March 21, 2010

Be warned that in NY State, once the lien holder merely INFORMS you that he/she wishes to repossess the vehicle (assuming you're behind in payments) YOU have a legal obligation to make the vehicle available.  In other words, if you hide the vehicle to avoid repossession you may be tried and convicted of CONVERSION.

So, in addition to screwing up your credit, you risk a criminal conviction.
