Unlike many of those who have submitted reports concerning Consumer Research Corporation, I read the terms of the offer and was aware that a total of 6 offers (2 from each group) were necessary to qualify for the "free" incentive. You are given 60 days from the date of your membership registration to complete the incentive program and redeem your gift.
The incentive program is not required in order to participate in the product testing panel. However, the 3 products that you are guaranteed to test are downloadable programs. After you submit the survey regarding the software you're to test, you may then apply to test premium products but, are not guaranteed that you will be chosen to do so.
My concern is that, like many of the complaints, CRC's practices are misleading and deceptive. The offers made/required on the producttestpanel.com website links do not match the offers available at the advertisers' websites. I was willing to participate in an offer that required 6 months of DirecTV service for $29.99/mo. but, when I was redirected to the advertisers' website there was no such offer (ie; bait and switch). The advertiser required 12 months of service for $36.99/mo. I sent an e-mail to Member Support at email@example.com with no reply. I then went to www.myhelpsupport.com and received this message:

We apologize for any inconvenience.
Well, it's more than an inconvenience. I have already participated in 4 of the offers and need only participate in 2 more. However, when you get to the 3rd category of offers, your selection is very limited and does require a considerable monetary outlay and committment. Witout a timely reply to my questions and concerns, it is quite possible that I will not meet the 60 day time limit to redeem my incentive. I have also, compromised my privacy on-line and off-line.
