I am writing for all of you who have elderly parents that have a sickness and weakness for all these sweepstakes scams.   My mother is practically the poster child for these scams.  These people call her all day and all night from all countries including USA.  My father died this last month and in going through the papers, I found endless stacks
of all these sweepstakes offers asking for $5 or $10 here and sometimes up to several hundred dollars that my mother blindly sends to these criminals.   Many times she has given her social security number, credit card numbers, and personal bank info to anyone who calls.    Our family would get into many loud fights with her and have tried to cut her off,
but to no avail.   We have even had the FBI and the Police come to her house to tell her of these scams, but she still continues.  

Contest America Publishers is one of the worst offenders I have seen.  They send my mom 8 to 10 letters a week from different "games" called Mr. Cashman, and others.  Always saying "you are the top winner"  you must pay xxx of $$$$ to play the "tie breaker" game so you could get the big jackpot.  I called their company and asked to remove my moms name from their mailing lists.  They told me it would take 12 to 16 weeks to fully remove her name.   I asked why so long, and Customer service told me they have several games throughout the US and South Africa and Other countries and she would have to enter it for all the databases.   The info on the back also says you can request your money back.  I asked them how do I do that and they told me they could only refund money back on certain games that have not yet paid out and she told me that all of the current games have been paid out already.  I told her she was lying, because one of the letters I had said the contest ends March 2013.   She would not respond and said there was nothing she could do. 

If there are any lawyers out there, please contact me!!!  I want to sue their butts off for scamming my family all these years!

I am attempting to mail letters to all of these scammers to try to remove my Mother's name from their mailing lists, but I am sure I am wasting my time, because why would these criminals give up on such a sure thing as the endless bank account of my giving Mom!!??

I hope you have better luck with protecting your loved ones, than I have been having.  But no matter what, I will keep on fighting the battle.
