on dec 11 2006 i was offered a fre k-mart gift card of $500.00 i completed all of thier suryeys and at the end i was told to complete two sponser offers.which i did. i was billed on my credit card $14.95 for columbia house dvd club and $8.95 for some company called tlc sciences... i recieved these products in the mail yet i did not get my free gift card!!!
when i was applying for the gift card , the web page told me " final step"complete two sponser offers and you will get your gift card. HA! i got nothing!! how can this be???
i tried to email this coolsavings.com only to be told that my email was undeliverable... i just can't believe this, this does not seem legal... so now i'm out 24 25 dollars. does any one have any suggestions on what i should do ?? it's just beyond me that companys say they will give you something if you buy something and then you don't get it!!!

Are They Worth The Hassle?

I'm considering downloading the software for Coolsavings to print coupons. Do they really provide the coupons that are usable at grocery and retail stores? And if so are they worth the hassle?
I read your report and didn't want to get rip-off in another way by them. I have a 5month old so saving on everyday purchases would be a lifesaver.

Coolsavings with costly memberships...

I do not know, if you ever will see the gift card, but I am sure, that you will see monthly charges from Columbia House dvd club. It is a membership offer that you accepted. I am not familiar with the TLC Sciences.
My recommendation, contact very fast with Columbia House, and with TLC Sciences (for phone number check your credit card statement) and close your membership.
There are many complains about survey avards. Skip these offers.
If you see any free/trial offer requiring additional purchase, account number, credit/debit card number for - run as fast as you can. Do not believe in "only $1", "only $3.99 S/H". They simply want an account to charge.

While I automatically delete all the emails about "Free Whatever Card", I must say that if you completed the offers on Dec. 11, 2006, and today is the 19th, you haven't really allowed a whole lot of time to pass to receive the gift card.
Did the offer state that the card would be immediately sent? I realize you have been charged on your credit card already, but the companies will often claim they need to wait to make sure you don't do a chargeback and cancel the offer, once you've received the gift card.
If something says free, and then you have to purchase items - how is that free?
Also, for future reference, if you're applying for a "free trial", and they request bank information or credit card information, YOU WILL BE PAYING THEM. For what? Who knows, but if it's "free", they don't ask for payment information. If they do, they will be taking your money, sooner or later.
