Cornell Homes Stephen Cornell RIP OFF Central square, New York

I just got this website from a friend, and am I ever glad to see other people finally reporting this guy! My (now deceased) parents and I got pulled into Steve Cornell`s tricky scam he`s pulled on so many people that I can`t name all of the ones I`ve spoken to about his dirty dealership and how he takes advantage of people financially. I went through over four years, and over $41,000.00 I now have to pay an attorney because of how he mixes the money up.

There are no attorneys who will take on my case, and I just lost my entire case because I filed a Note of Issue one month late. Mr. Cornell showed my father and I a beautiful double wide and told us he could put us in that home, including the buyout of our mortgage for $62,000.00. Our mortgage was only $20,000.00 and the home we were shown was supposed to be $39,900.00. When we went to the closing we were told we didn`t have any time to read all of the pages, and my mother said we would walk out if we couldn`t view them.

Mr. Cornell threatened to sue us for Breach of Contract if we left so we sat through the entire closing. No notary public was present, and all pages were faxed offsite once we signed them. When the man at the closing was finished collecting all of the papers, he then read off the entire amount due.... $87,7412.61!!!! My parents and I all stood up at once to say we never agreed to that price- we couldn`t afford it. My father was a Marine in WW II and was Service Connected as Section 10.

This means he was wounded in action and always had trouble with his leg. My mother was on Medicaid because my father had no insurance on her. To make a very long story short, I filed a report with the New York State Attorney General`s Office, and Steve Cornell had the gall to write in his response that my attorneys dropped my case because everything I stated was a lie. I emailed this to my previous attorney, and he was kind enough to send a letter to the NYS Atty. Gen as well a copy for my records. The attorney asked the Regional Office of the NYS Attorney General to do a full investigation into Steve Cornell`s business practices and stated that what Mr. Cornell wrote in that report was a huge mistruth.

The attorneys group could no longer work for me because the bill got to be too high.I wish an agency could come forward to help me as well as all the other people Steve Cornell has taken advantage of. I`m stuck in a home that I did not even see. He showed us one very nice home, then ordered this piece of junk, which is known as a Bait & Switch. I`m now stuck with. Is there anybody who can help me with this awful situation I`m in? All I get is Social Security-Disability...this man ruined my credit and my life.
