Cornerstone America, MEGA, Healthmarkets unethical business practices, misleading hiring tactics, no quitting allowed w/o owing them $!! Atlanta Georgia

I joined Cornerstone America to learn about the Insurance busines and brush up on my sales skills, they taught me nil about either!

I should have listened to my inner voice before signing their b.s. contract. I stuck it out for a year, pretty much to the day, partly b/c the way I understood the contract is if you stay for at least a year your
account will be cleared with commissions from policies still on the books.

Well, they have sent me a letter (2 months after I quit) stating I owe $700, and that I need to contact them w/in 14 days to make payment arrangements or the balance will be due immediately, due immediatly? I have business on the books that won't end until May 2008, that's over 9 months of premiums to be paid and earned commissions that can pay off the account! The contract states I am entitled to commissions on all of the policies full 12 months of premium payments. My calculations show (as long as no more clients cancel before the 12 months on their policy) that my account will be cleared with the commissions on the premium payments still due on the policies I wrote. So, why is Cornerstone asking me to pay right away?

These guys are full of it. Do not join Cornerstone/MEGA/Healthmarkets they are crooks!
I could use some advice. My brother is an attorney and I plan to have him look into this, but I would like to hear from others who have been through this.
Has anyone dealt with this situation? Did you pay up? Did you get out w/o paying? Was your account cleared with commissions earned after you quit?How did you handle them?
