Cornerstone United Ltd CORNERSTONE EXTENDED PROTECTION PLAN IS A SCAM London, Ontario

On Feb 16 2010 we purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher from TA Appliances in Brantford, at their suggestion we also purchased an extended warrantly covered by Cornerstone United Ltd.  In 2012  we had the rinse aid dispenser replaced to a value of $84.00. 

On Feb 1202013 I called cornerstone as the dishwasher kept on pumping even though the water was long gone.  A technician came looked took apart the lower panel and after a careful inspection said that the switch would have to be replaced, he would order it. On Feb 14 2013 Tina from Cornerstone called and said that our dishwasher would be repaired if we paid an additional $74.00 in addition to what was left on our 2 years of the 5 year warrantly.  OR they would give us a TA Appliance store credit for $116.00 and that would end our policy with them.

We went to TA Appliances on the 14 Feb and picked out another brand of dishwasher, they couldn't process our store credit as the young gal that had the email account wasn't in = come back tomorrow.My Husband went in this morning and paid full price for a new dishwasher minus the $116.00 credit and OH BY THE WAY, they siad, CORNERSTORNE WANTS YOU TO RETURN YOUR OLD DISHWASHER. 

Trip #3, we went to TA appliances with old dishwasher., and I inquried as to why I had to turn in my old dishwasher when I had paid over $500.00 for it and they were only giving me credit for $116.00.  The young lady at reception said it was an EXCHANGE.  In my book an exchange is one for the other and we're even, not then having to pay full price for the new one.  In the end  the extended warrantly was worth no more than $200.00.  The only repair rinse dispenser value $84.00 and the balance credited to us $116.00.  I would never purchase another extended warrantly from Cornerstone or purchase another appliance from TA Appliances Brantford.
