Corporate Filing Servces Center is sending fraudulent forms that look as if they are from the Florida state government, alarming unsuspecting businesses into paying $47.99, $49.50 or $68.72 for a service they don’t need.Usually they will send you forms right after you filed a new corporation, stating that now that you filed your business registration , you are qualified to request a Certificate of Status and explaining why you need that certificate, using words such as "Pursuant to Florida statute... a Certificate of Status sets forth.." . However, this certificate of status can easily be purchased at the State website and it is not mandatory, and it costs only $8.75.
Although this is a service being provided, it is still being offered under a false pretense by making the form look like an official government one, it is designed to confuse the consumer, and feels urged to do it because they believe it has to be done, and quickly sends them money that they don't need to. THis is clearly a SCAM
