Correctional Billing Services Evercom price gouging at Gadsden Correctional Quincy, Florida

I have recently had a loved one transfer to GCF. The phone calls have doubled and she is 200 miles closer to home and in the same area code. Her phone calls to her mother whom is terminally ill tripled. $18.00 a call. Her mother on a fixed income can't indure the cost so she is no longer able to commuicate with her mother or family. She has been in the system for 3 years and NEVER have we had to incur such outrageous phone fees, western union fee also added charges for Gadsden.

Applying the money by debit card with a minimun of 50.00 was no charge, at Gadsden they charge 6.95 just to apply your money to your account. So before you even make a call you have gave them a free call. I don't know how Gadsden gets away with this. I spoke with CBS and they told my Gadsden set the costs not them, so how does our state officials allow this to happen to innocent people. We are being punished and we are innocent of all charges.

There needs to be someone looking into Gadsden's tactics and undermining innocent people. I would love to see the facility punished or closed. Fraud, stealing, ripping off I am not sure what the legal term is, but what they are doing should be punishable by law. Maybe even better, lock them up and let them try and call the people they love. . Someone do Something PLEASE!!!
