My sons are 13 and 15 and they were sitting in their car at Costco and a guy reached in and grabbed their ipad2. I feel Costco should care about the safety of their customers but they don't. They don't have serveilence cameras or security guards in their parking lots. I will never shop there again. They care more about making money than to keep their customers safe.

Why?
Because Outlaw Josie Wales, AKA Clint Eastwood, did not show up to save the 2 kids' azzes, or their Ipad.
They made a mistake, to paraphrase "The Preacher" after the marshals riddle a drunk miner, they stayed in the car alone.
Don't laugh, Josie, my horse might think you're laughing at him.

IF this is indeed a true report at all, the statement that it's typical liberal thinking to blame someone else is just plain stupid. You are, in fact, doing exactly what you are preaching about. You are blaming someone else for the problem.
It's actually a current societal thing. Almost everyone seems to blame someone else for anything that happens to them. If I though some political party could fix it I'd vote for them, alas, it's a lot deeper than that. We've had both parties in power from time to time and nothing has changed.
I think we're in deep trouble and no political party can fix it.

You are blaming costco for your children getting mugged?
Even *if* they had security cameras, it still would not have stopped this from happening. I can understand having security inside the store, but you expect them to have security guards and cameras outside the store too?
How many buisnesses do you frequent that have security guards and cameras on the parking lots? I would warrant very few. Did you call the police and file a report or just scream at the costco manager? What did your kids do when some guy just grabbed their ipad?

So, you went to Costco, and left your 13 and 15 year children in the car by themselves?
And someone saw them there and reached in the car to steal their IPAD2?
Are you stupid, or just a moron? Why the Heck would you leave 2 Minor Children in a car at a big Store like Costco, and not have an adult with them? Should you not have brought your kids into the store with you, and they could have put their ipad2 under the seat??
