Had trans trouble with my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Took it to my nearest Cottman location. I was told I needed to have a internal trans check. They did so then told me my trans had to be rebuilt at a $2300.00 price tag. I told them I did have the kind of money then and that I would have to wait. Argued with the center manger about putting my trans back together. He basically wanted to "make" me get the work done. Spoke to Aamco trans. They agreed to tow my vehicle with the trans in a box since Cottman didn't want to put it back together. Cottman owner drop the price to $1500.00 and pleaded that I would have no problems if my vehicle stayed there. I chose to let them perform the work. BIG MISTAKE! When I got my car back. I constantly felt this horrible rough vibration. Took the vehicle back and told them the problem. Was told it would take one day but took four days. Had to rent a vehicle. Got the car back a second time and the same thing! Went back a third time and told them I was still having problems. Was told they had to order more parts and would call once parts came in. I guess the parts never came because didn't get a call from them telling me to bring in my car because the parts were there. I was outraged after spending $1590.00. I was more than patient at this point. Car is STILL having problems. Had Aamco do a trans check and ws told bolts were loose, car still had to be started in nuetral, transmission is leaking. Called the location and told them that I would be taking them to court. Was called the next day by the owner and had a verbal match with him. He was being sarcastic and a complete A-hole.He became outraged because of my dis-satisfaction and began cursing me. I expressed that I would have a lawyer contact them and hung up. NEVER VISIT THIS LOCATION - TROUBLE!!!
