WARNING__ Do Not Sign a Lease here!___WARNING

If you are looking for an apartment this is not the place for you.  If you look at these apartments please first notice the maintenance of the property to let you know how they are managed and ran.  Most vegetation is overgrown and not kept up, and that which is maintained has been by residents and NOT by management.  Also hallways only get cleaned about once every 6-10 months.  Also the back of one of the buildings is falling into the canal behind the building cause structural instability.  There has also been lots of water damage and mold within the complex.

The landlord is a drunk and has several OWI'son his record  and judgements for money owed( check it out for yourself at:  http://wcca.wicourts.gov/index.xsl , Kelly W. McClone) and is a compulsive liar.  When we first moved in he said he OWNED the complex, but later found out he did not own the property and had no say what-so-ever on the property.  From my understanding he just gets free rent and a family member own its.  Also when our lease was signed he obviously had been drinking as you could smell the liquor on him from a mile away!  He will say almost anything to get you to sign a lease, but once the lase is signed....GOOD LUCK getting anything accomplished.  I've also heard rumors of Kelly stealing money from tenants that should have been applied to rent.  
Please take what I am saying seriously.  I believe this could be a nice place to live however its my belief its just the management that is the problem.   I should have noticed the RED FLAGS, but as soon as our lease is finished I will be moving.

 True, while RMD has hired a mangement company to due its maintenance and tend to renters it is odd, that they do all the leasing and maintenance but do not deal with security deposits. RMD MGMT audits the apts having never been inside them themselves during the move in inspection. While Kelly Mcuseless is now gone, the tenants that he did sign or dropping out of their like flies. Grantit the lawns look better but that is yet due to another.hired out hand not even Pfeffrle Mgmt which does the leasing and apt maintenance. I recently had to move.for a non renewal with no real explanation at hand. At my move out inspection the lady didnt have any of the paperwork I had signed in the.beginning of my lease not even my move in inspection sheet. So in essence how does she even know what damages where there when I moved in than when I moved out and ontop of that, she doesn't even due the deductions from the security deposits. RMD does?! Then where the hell was RMD when I moved out with the papers I signed at the time of lease with RMD. This company will still rip you off, they are still having problems with mold, bugs inside the hallways and the new maintenance is only half way decent. You still play phone tag with your 'landlord onsite mgmt', and then they send over a guy. Just one guy, for 48 apts, and half the time he calls for hired out help for the appliances plumbing lawn care etc...

My landlord switched three times in the course of a year, twice thru this new mgmt they have.hired. never even recieved a letter when Pfeffrle switched landladies or shall i say the contact person representing cottownwood creek apts. There is still a dog feces problem, maintenance is half a*s they take the cheap way, and cuz they dont know what the apts looked like when u moved in they charge u up the a*s when u move out to cover all the repairs that KELLY SHOULDA done when he was there. Mgmt still ignores phone calls, takes days sometimes even weeks to get.back to you. RMD should get their head out of their f**kin a*s and get down there themselves. Its outrageous the crap they can pull, and get away with. I will never rent from them again or reccomend them to anyone unless u want to get ripped off big time. It doesnt matter if your careful and take all the pics. U want. They still screw u. When no 4 units emptied in March 2015 10 months after new mgmt took.over. they are doing something wrong. I know of three more long term tenants that are moving. They are sick of it. Pfeffrle mgmt will tell you quick sign a lease yhey fill up quick but in reality they are emptying faster than they can.b filled. #Dont #Rent #SLUM LORDS

First off, we are first responding to this post now as it was just first brought to our attention.

Please note that there is a new management company/apartment manager maintaining the property and all the prior concerns are being addressed. We are taking steps forward to make this apartment complex a desired place to live. We do appreciate any/all constructive comments from our tenants. Please feel free to come see for yourself.
