Many of my friends have reorted the same thing - Cox communications is using an "online signature" to lock persons into a 2 year contract whether they can afford it or not, in order to keep from having to change price in case a customer needs to lower their bill due to unforseen and not forseen  changes in income.   They will not budge on this.   When I tried to talk to them about lowering my bill by stopping phone service they told me that I was locked into a 2 year agreement (over the internet) and when I tried to ask further questions they simply hung up on me.   I cannot deny that this made me angry.   They have set themselves up as an entity NOT to be questioned.

So, what can I do?   My income is severely limited at this time, but they will not hear of it.   They would lower my price on the internet speed, and even then not give me a good answer on what that would mean.   They simply hung up.

I know others who have pretty much had it with Cox for this same reason, but no one knows what to do.   Can you help?  Can you do anything to help?   Please?
