My truck, a chevy suburban, after getting gas one day, didnt engage when I put it into drive. I shut the truck off and started it again. I was able to get it around the corner to my mechanic. I told him that the truck would not engage into drive. I told him that I think its the transmission. I left my truck and he told me that he would get back to me.  Two days later I went in to see the progress of my truck and he told me that I need a transmission. I said rebuild my own and was informed that thats not an option. I was told I can get a rebuilt but it will run alot of money. My next option was a junk yard tranny. I went with that.

A week and a half late I got my truck back and all seemed ok for a while at least. About two weeks later, I started hearing a noise, so I brought the truck back to the mechanic and in 5 minutes without putting it on a lift, I was told my truck is fine and all of the fluids are good. About a week after that I am still hearing a noise and once again, I bring it back and once again without putting it on a lift, I am told all is fine.

Around 1 1/2 months after having the tranny installed, i hear a noise and my truck just died while driving. I started my truck again, and it wont engage into drive, it only wants to go backwards. I call AAA and have it towed back to my mechanic. Once again without putting it on a lift I am told I blew the tranny. I said yes I already know that, the fluids are burnt. I made him aware that I just paid $2117 and Im not paying another dime and that he has to eat the cost this time.

In that time frame, I only did 829 miles. I was informed from him that he'll ask the junk yard if they will eat the cost, and to give them time to find a new tranny. Now, its Wednesday and I call to find out the progress only to be told they cant locate a new tranny in the state of New York or in the United States for that matter. I decided to look on ebay myself and I found 12 different rebuilt transmissions for less money than I spent with a much better warranty all in less than 30 minutes.

I locate a local transmission shop, and have my truck towed to them. I will never use Craigs Complete Car Care ever again, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. They have no real experience in car care, car repair, car maintanence.

  How do you go "beyond" for your customers when your best answer is " we were found innocent in court"? I guess your self serving satisfaction is your loyalty after all. It took 3 weeks for us to finally give up and get it towed out of there. Had it rebuilt for less then you charged, but that isn't the issue. The truth is anyone reading this can go onto ebay and find a two-wheel drive transmission for a 2001 chevy suburban. Some are rebult, some are used, some will offer to rebuild yours. So "not being able to find one", is the real lie. The other lie of yours is the fact that my son and I went to you about two weeks before the end of the warranty to ask about noises comming from the trans you installed, but amazingly, you found nothing wrong and sent us on our way only to have it blow up days out of warranty. Don't believe any of this is true? Why don't you ask the shop that did finally, correct the mess you left us with about the condition of that used trans you installed. As far as anyone with half a brain is concerned, a shop whose custmers are satisfied, don't go to court, don't accuse their customers of lying, and actually keep their business. That's how a professional business is run. I guess we all know where you do.

The customer was well aware she was receiving a junk yard transmission, we have signed work orders from her. Unfortunately the transmission fell out of warranty when it went down. Even though we did Not have too we were more then willing to honor the warranty and get her another used transmission. With doing so much work with the junk yard, they were willing to get us another part but she was too impatient to wait for another used transmission. Unfortunately the junk yard took to long for the customers liking. This resulting in the customer demanding cash back for the vehicle. The junk yard even wrote the court a letter regarding the issue that they were still searching for the part but the customer had left Craig's Complete Car Care. 

Unfortunately we can not agree with the statement that has been made about our business. The customer who is attempting to slander the reputation of my company is clearly lying in this. We were sued by the customer and also had a nasty comment on the BBB added to it. After going to court with the customer we were found innocent of all accusations. After the BBB and the court had been lied to we were dismissed from the lawsuit to pay nothing and taking down from the BBB. We run and good and honest business and do anything for our customers. We go over and beyond for anyone in our shop whether they are new or existing including the accusers. We even went as far to go to this particular customers house and lay in her dirt drive way before we did the original work to help her husband find out what was wrong with the car.

Unfortunately we can not agree with the statement that has been made about our business. The customer who is attempting to slander the reputation of my company is clearly lying in this. We were sued by the customer and also had a nasty comment on the BBB added to it. After going to court with the customer we were found innocent of all accusations. After the BBB and the court had been lied to we were dismissed from the lawsuit to pay nothing. We run and good and honest business and do anything for our customers. We go over and beyond for anyone in our shop whether they are a new or old including the accusers above.
