I have too been scammed by this copmpany, I was told that credit acceptance is a great way to rebuild you credit, my car has been repo twice and both times at the fault of them, I called and spoke to agentswho said that they noted my car payment would be paid ten days late, what happend they came and got it both times, not only that my car is a total lemon i pay 440.00 a month for a 2007 dodge which i have already had to replace the alternator, battery sparkplugs and drove it away with a jingleing sound which I was told was the refridgerator which after taking to a mechanic was told my right strut mount has been broken since the day I bought it, now I have a car that is so expensive and I cant afford to fix it. no one you call thir is helpful and they have threatened me numerous times to turn my car off..WHAT DO I DO

It's the dealer, Not the finance Company

AUTHOR: DirtyBird - ()

POSTED: Monday, June 10, 2013

Not  being rude, but I see this Every day... People get all excited about buying a new car, don't care what they sign, then as soon as something goes wrong, it is the finance companies fault. I'm not saying I am a huge fan of Credit Acceptance and their rediculas interest rates; and I have had a car repoed by them; but being adults, we are expected to know what we are signing & buying.

A credit/finance company has NOTHING to do with the condition of the car we buy. If it knocks, squeaks, smokes, etc.. we need to find an independant mechanic & have it looked at before purchasing. The finance company Never sees the unit they are buying for us, they take our & the dealers words that it runs, they pay for it and expect us to reimburse them the money at a cost of interest.

I now Repo cars for a living and I hear almost every day, "Oh! they can take this car back, its a P.O.S." Guess what.. the dealer doesnt care anymore, they sold you the P.O.S., we willingly drive it off the lot with a HUGE smile on our face with out a care in the world. Then the minute something goes wrong, we blame the people who we once asked for thousands of dollars, they were good enough to give it to us, and the dealer that sold us the P.O.S. is off the hook, and the only one happy. They got paid for the P.O.S. , and it is no longer their problem.

People also complain about the GPS's that Credit Acceptance installs on the units do to OUR bad credit.. Its not an invasion of privacy, WE signed the doc. saying it was ok to install, As long as we get our car off the lot. It is also illeagal for them to turn it on and moniter the Units where abouts unless WE fail to give them the monies owed. Thay are National and have Way to many cars GPS'd to just sit around all day and see what people they could care less about are doing. Once the unit is up for repo, we recieve a code that is only good for 2 weeks or until the Repo order is closed, which ever comes first.

Also, people need to Read what they sign.. I show up to Repo a car someone hasnt paid on, they say, "This is Private Property" , I then tell them, Read Your Purchase Agreement.. we all Sign a "Right to Reposess" when purchasing a car from ANY finance Company.. it states .. "I give Credit Acceptance (or whatever bank) OR any of its representitives the Right to enter ANY property the said unit is on in order to Reposess"..

Once again, I am not saying they are a great company, but being realistic, the fault of us buying a P.O.S. is not their fault.. it is the dealers fault and our fault. Being human, our brains go into over drive thinking about that new car, and we dont worry about anything else until it goes wrong. People just need to stop blaming fianance companies for things they have no control over.

Here's Your Answer!

AUTHOR: Jim - ()

POSTED: Monday, May 20, 2013

The ONLY reason you have been financed by them is because YOU gave YOURSELF a reputation of not paying YOUR bills on time.  Then what happens?  YOU pay these guys late too (isn't that a surprise) and YOU turn on the repo action.  Sure, its all their fault.  Then you say they are threatening to shut the car down because you CONTINUE to be late.  I guess that's all their fault too.  Now, you ask what can you do.  Simple answer...pay your bills on time.  If you would have been doing that to start with, then you would never have been re-poed!  Perhaps it might also help to not be hauling around a refridgerator.
