I talked my fianc into paying $2,500 to join CREDIT CARD BUILDERS because they advertised that they could get anyone $50k-$100k in unsecured, business credit through credit cards.  This company came highly recommended by Kimberlee Frank, the Real Estate Junkie, so I felt comfortable having my fiance sign up.

My fiance originally signed up through Ari & Remy Page in April 2010, and he had a credit score in the 700s.  They advertised that they could get anyone a minimum of $50k up to $100k in business credit, but my fiance only got a total of $30,900.  Credit Card Builders has a 2 month cancellation policy but it took them longer than 2 months to get started so we were past that time when things started to go bad.

Furthermore, it was a nightmare dealing with this company because we would not hear from them for weeks or months at a time and at one point we thought you went out of business.   No one ever returned phone calls when they were suppose to nor did they ever respond to our emails or phone calls in a timely manner.  Sometimes wed go weeks trying to contact them before wed finally get a hold of someone there.  We did more waiting around for them to do something than anything and there was always an excuse as to why this was happening whether it be a holiday or the phones werent being forwarded correctly and no one knew it.  We signed up for your company because of Kimberlee Frank and thought this could be the answer to our prayers, but it was not.   The entire year we were so frustrated because they only applied for 3 batches of credit cards and 2 SBA loans, one of which was done right before our membership was up which totaled $30,900 which is not $50k-$100k.  The last SBA loan packet was just thrown together, half-assed,  and the financials were a year old so my fiance had to spend many hours doing them himself when that was their job, not his, and he only got $5k with all that work.

Furthermore, we kept getting excuses as to why they did not apply for more batches of credit such as Kevins debt to credit limit ratio was too high.  Yet there were times when he had that under 30%-35% like they wanted and we could not get them to answer our phone calls or emails so they could apply for another batch of cards.  They advertise that they apply for a minimum 6-8 batches of credit cards in a year and we only got 3 even though Kevin maintained a credit score above 700 the whole time he was in the program. The last batch was useless because he did not get one credit card approval.

Plus they advertise that they teach people how to build their own credit so we can go and do it for ourselves or we can decide to pay more and stay in the program, yet we were never taught anything.   It was like pulling teeth to get any information from them or their coworkers.

Lastly, I thought wed would have been contacted by them when our membership was up in April  2011 and yet we have not heard from them at all.  What a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT and a waste of time and money!!!  We expected more from them and from this experience, and we wished we had never joined.

Prompt Refund

AUTHOR: MAG - (USA)

I cannot vouch for other aspects of the business because I did not really get too far into the process, but I can tell you that I got a prompt refund when I had to back out for personal reasons.  Of course, they did ask a few questions to see if there was some way to resolve the issues, but after that, they said they would return my payment within 2 weeks and that's exactly what they did.

Easiest solution is refund

AUTHOR: advocacybz - ()

The most proficient and high quality companies will simply resolve any compliants by refundingthe fees. Debating and arguing does nothing but tarnish a company"s reputation. Any disgruntled consumers should be given a refund and a thanks for playing card. If a company feels it must fight to keep a fee then the company most likely is either underfunded or it cares little for its reputation. In the end regardless of how long a company offers a money back guarantee most quality companies will honor any requests for refunds. In reality less then 3% of the buying public ever request a refund even when dissatistfied, so its not like there will be a run on refunds. Any company that uses that type of rhetoric to avoid refunds simply doesn't want to provide professional services and their reputation should be taken into account.

Credit Card Builders

AUTHOR: lizrehabshouses - (United States of America)

This post cam up in Google when I searched for Credit Card Builders. I heard about them as I am a student of  Al Aiello. I trust Al and his recommendations but havent signed up because I wanted to dig a little deeper.

Only downside I have found was that some people complained that communication turnaround time isnt always the best. No company has a 100% record (look up ANY company nobody has a perfect rating) but a friend of mine signed up last year and got 269,000k of credit which he brags about all the time.

I think a lot of it depends on personal credit even though they claim that the business credit wont show on the credit report (my friend confirmed that it is correct, it doesnt) I have 770 fico scores so I should get good results. Sounds like the OP should have spent a little more time to get the big $$$.

Your rebuttal is a lie!!!

AUTHOR: Jennifer simpson - (USA)

First of all Kevin's credit was in the 720's-750's when we signed up with you in April 2010 according to www.myfico.com which is a very reliable source for credit scores and is recommended by Suze Orman.  You say that you were lucky to get Kevin $30k in credit but with his credit score in the mid 700's you should have had no problem.  Next, Kevin recently told you he did not want credit anymore because he did not want to deal with your company ever again.  You lie and you over promise and under deliver.  You have threatened to sue us for writting the truth about your company, and you have called us liers.  Why would we want to continue to work with you?  Furthermore, we emailed Remi Page, Ari Page and Dave Candle of CCBs on July 5 before filing this report on Ripoffreport.com, the Better Business Bureau and other websites letting them know how we felt about the service we received during the year, and there was not response from them, not one.  We gave them a chance to correct the situation first and they ignored us.  They say we are difficult, but they are the ones that were difficult to deal with.  We told them numerous times throughout the year that we were unhappy with their service and they ignored it each and every time.  Who wants to continue to deal with that?  Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!!

Difficult???

AUTHOR: Jennifer simpson - (U.S.A.)

It is funny that you are saying we are difficult when it was DIFFICULT dealing with your company for a full year.  What a huge dissappointment and waste of time.  We spent more time waiting for something to happend than anything.  I guess the truth hurts.

#6 UPDATE Employee

We would like to work together with this client, but it is difficult!

AUTHOR: Account Rep - (United States of America)

The situation with Jennifer Simpson seems unfortunate and deserves massive clarification.

Jennifer and her partner Kevin are in a "difficult" credit situation, even with their bad credit set back, our firm has obtained over $30,000 of funding for them. We are still more than willing to continue rendering service, and have even extend their normal contract indefinitely to reach the desired amount of credit on their behalf.

Contrary to Jennifers allegations and ascertions we run a very ethical and clean operation and insinuations that we are unethical or do not provide service are contemptible, especially when Jennifer claims to be attempting to resolve the situation in good faith. We are and always have been willing to continue to provide service, but it becomes difficult to do so, when the client is unwilling to return communication or do anything constructive beyond make negative comments. We have requested that the Better Business Bureau help us mediate as a conduit with this client in order to resolve this disagreement.

Jennifer and her partner signed up for our services after watching a recorded presentation expounding on our services. This presentation is still live on the internet for all to see. In this presentation all aspects of what Jennifer claims is "miss leading" is openly disclosed. Additionally, our website, where she signed up clearly states the terms of our service.

To see whats really going on here we should state that Jennifer and Kevin both openly stated in an email to our firm, that "they are in a new business, and now, no longer need our business credit" Thus they have chosen to demand their money back, even though they are past their money back guarantee and initial funding batches have already been received. Jennifer has shown she will say and do anything in an attempt to blackmail our firm into giving them a refund, outside of the clearly stated refund period, even though credit has been delivered, and we have continued to work with them, within their difficult credit situation to gain more credit outside of the contract.

Most of what Jennifer has written regarding our firm does not take into account the difficult situation that her and her partner were in, until they received the $30,000 of funding from us.

We would also like to point out, that if you Google Jennifer Simpsons name, you will see that she make a habit to complain and write libelous comments about other services and products she has bought.

Recently again we have reached out to Jennifer and Kevin through the phone in an attempt to urge them to allow us to continue rendering services. So far however our calls have been un-answered. Even with all this said, we would still be willing to work with Kevin and jennifer to continue rendering services and reach the desired amount of credit.

Minor Correction to Original Complaint

AUTHOR: Jennifer simpson - (U.S.A.)

I originally said that Credit Card Builders advertised they could get anyone $50k-$100k in unsecured business credit through credit cards but that was incorrect.  They advertise they can get anyone $50k-$250k in unsecured, business credit through credit cards.   Sorry for the mistake but everything else is correct and should be taken seriously unless you want to waste your time and money with this company!!
