again without prior notification.
So lets review: They raised my monthly fee by $18.48 or by 261%! More than double! I called in again and the Service Rep
gave me some B.S. about the Promotional Rate expiring. Sure it did! I was never informed at the original signup or by email thats the original rate of $11.47 was promotional rate only. I was never told during my prior complaint calls that there was a Promotional Rate. I told the Rep to cancel ASAP and give me a full refund. What did she say? She offered to give ma partial credit. WTF! I told her I would spend hours on this talking to as many people as possible and file a complaint with the FTC. She relented and agreed to give me a full refund. Now I will have to follow through to verify that they do what the promised.
Experian does business as Credit Check Total https://www.creditchecktotal.com but they may have other web sites. Finally, they offer you credit check scores for all 3 credit reporting agencies, but upon closer examination these are just estimates
that they call Plus Scores. I just did a Refinance and I received a copy of all 3 ACTUAL scores which were much higher then what Experian provides under their site. So Experian promises actual credit scores but actually gives you B.S. Credit Score info which is unreliable. This is a SCAM Company!

significantly increase the monthly rate without any notification, 2) They do not easily rectify the mistake when confronted as multiple calls were required to get the proper credit when one phone call should have been sufficient, 3) When confronted again with yet another unannounced increase, that more than doubled the fee, they tried to give me a partial credit, 4) The credit score they provide is not a accurate credit score but only their proprietary "Plus Score" which reflects an estimate only. Experian will NOT even provide their own actual Credit Score that they report to creditors / lender . For example, Experian reported much higher scores
score to two different Mortgage Lenders for my recent refinance loan than they reported to me on CreditCheckTotal.com. Here is the fine print on Experian's "Plus Score: "The PLUS Score, with scores ranging from 330 to 830, is a user-friendly credit score model developed by Experian to help you see and understand how lenders view your credit worthiness. It is not used by lenders, but it is indicative of your overall credit risk. Higher scores represent a greater likelihood that youll pay back your debts so you are viewed as being a lower credit risk to lenders. A lower score indicates to lenders that you may be a higher credit risk." Incorrect. That's a 161% increase.
Experian isn't charging you. You subcontracted CreditCheck Total. If you go to the Experian web site you can get the same service for $17.95/month. There are other companies that offer the same service [through credit card issuers] at a lower price.
