All you have to do is PAY ATTENTION. Read everything! And, why did you not post the full information of the exact name of the company and exact website you went to? Then we can all take a look at it.
Just common sense here. NOTHING is "FREE".
Wouldn't the request for your credit card raise a red flag to the "free" thing? Wow, if this is free why do they need my credit card? They must need my credit card so they can charge it in the future. Hmmmmm. Just common sense!
No rip off here. You just didn't pay attention to what you were doing, and did not apply common sense.
