After offering me an unattainable offer, I declined and said it was unreasonable. He continued to say that I would be prosecuted for fraud and misrepresentatiion and continued to call my parents, suggesting that they make good on the delinquent account.
A short time later, I called and made arrangements with someone else that was more suitable to me, taking into account my current income. He called back and said that the employee who had made these "acceptable arrangements," had no right doing this and it was unacceptable to him.
He continued the harassing calls, at which time I refused to answer.
In conclusion, I would love to settle this account, however, his terms, coupled with his demeanor, made it impossible.
Q: Should I call Bank of America and try to settle with them?
Thank you!

Do Not Deal With Them

Apparently all of us who are in default on a BOA credit card and who have to deal with these slimebags are committing fraud. Also, you can file a complaint. Look up the Federal Trade Commission, they have an online complaint form. Also, look up the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. It is against the law for them to accuse you of a crime they cannot prove you did.
Good luck.
