looking over my bank account after making a deposit 7/1/2009 and i was shocked to see that cricket placed a debit card preauthorized hold for a one dollar amount seven times on my account.
there were also two of the same transactions one for 55.43 & another for 69.62 all to be released 7/4/2009.(4th july) moments later visa fraud prevention services calls me and i inform them that these charges were not approved by me. after more discussion we decide to not freeze my card due to the fact that my children are visiting for the month and i could not go without my card and finances for the holliday but to watch my account and to contact cricket and find out what is going on.
i call cricket and explain what has happened and they tell me that it is not them doing it. i then call back visa services and they tell me i need to contact cricket and after several go arounds i just go to my bank. i explain the details to the bank and we once again end up at the conclusion that the transactions have not posted and due to the fact that my children are visiting and the holiday is three days away and i live payday to payday canceling my card may not be a good idea at this time .
the following morning i check my account and the 55.43 and 69.62 amounts posted and all the seven diffrent one dollar amounts are still pending.i contact visa fraud prevention services and they tell me to go to the bank the bank and cancel my card. then the bank askes me if i contacted cricket so i then contact cricket and they tell me that if i bring in reciepts of the charges from my bank that they will take care of it but that they still do not know anything about it. i then do as they asked and go to the cricket branch at 9201 n 29th ave phx az 85051 (metro ctr mall) a corporate cricket owned faclity and wait in line to be told that they applogize for the problem but if i decide to not cancel the service they could give me a free month. i was ready to go postal but i told them that i must look stupid and that i wanted to cancel the service and i also wanted to know when and how i was to get my money back. they inform me that they cannot give me the money back and to dispute the charges with the bank. cricket communications just ripped me off and not only that they put my family and myself in a bad position and there was not a thing i could do about it . total amount of deposit 247.73 amount tied up by cricket 148.05 amount ripped off from me and my children by cricket for the fourth of july holidy cannot be put into numbers.....
