Cricket cell phone company insurance I purchased coverage for my cell phone and paid for year and a half and they rip me off !!! salt lake city, Utah

so, I had been Cricket customer for about 10 years. service was ok, but it is cheap. I have two lines with them. Both phones have insurance.

I always paid on time. I have automatic payment.

When my daughter damaged her samsung messenger I purchased in december 2008 and paid insurance $5.00 a month, I went to cricket store after i filed insurance claim and they offered me flip Kyocera phone, who does not know what it is - cheapest brand ever.

New Kyocera flip phone costs 99.00 with activation. I paid insurance for year and a half. they said deductable is 85 dollars. and they brought me used kyocera and said thats all i can get! used one probably worth 35 dol!!! if that. so they maid pretty good cash on me - they take my messenger i paid 289.00, take my insurance payment $5.00 a month for 18 months, take my 85 dol deductable and give my 35 dol used kyocera!!!!

Then they will refurbish my messenger phone and will resell it to another idiot like me who paid them insurance.

Is int it a great business?

I talked to manager of the store, they said that if I am not happy, I can take my business anywhere else. It was sugarhouse cricket store.

I talked to insurance, they are very sorry, but thats all they can do.

My contract says that they will replace with equal model with the same features ( messenger is not flip and samsung is not kyocera) r pay me back settlement. When I called they said they cannot pay settlement. They know that noone will take them to court for 200 dol. it will cost more for a lawyer. so they feel very comfortable

sooo, do not get insurance. it is a rip off. thats how they make their money
