called because of noises heard in 3rd floor bedroom ceiling-we thought squirrels. We were told for inspection,setting traps and monitoring=$289. Tech got here and searched in crawl space around 3rd floor bedroom and found only bat droppings on one side of house- no squirrels. Went outside and looked up at roof-dormer for possible entrance site. He gave me a few ideas on how to fix problem, took check and left. No traps set, no monitoring. Later I see on web site-"Free Inspections"; called 800 #... "the free inspection is a drive-by only, and because tech went inside-it's $289." If the stated problem is in the attic, how can you tell with just a drive-by??? Time on site=1hr. Yes I would recommend--Use Someone Else!

WITH A RESPONSE LIKE THAT,IT IS NO WONDER THIS COMPANY CONTINUES TO LOSE BUSINESS.CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY YOU ARE FREE OF THEM AT THIS POINT.THAT HAS TO BE THE MOST UN-PROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSE I HAVE EVER HEARD..ALL I CAN SAY IS "WOW".NUISANCE ANIMAL CONTROL IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE,AND IT IS A SHAME UN-PROFESSIONAL,UN-EXPERIENCED,UN-TRAINED INDIVIDUALS ARE COMING INTO THIS FIELD IN DROVES AND CAUSING CONSUMERS TO LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR THEIR ANIMAL CONTROL PROBLEMS.HIGH PRICES,LACK OF YEARS OF TRAINING,AND MANAGEMENT WITH ATTITUDES LIKE THIS INDIVIDUAL ARE MAKING IT HARDER AND HARDER ON THE LEGITIMATE PRO'S OUT HERE.

I HAVE OVER 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE AND CHARGE ONE SET FEE,WHICH IS SET AT A FAIR MEDIUM,AND WE TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM IN A FAST AND EFFICIENT MANNER,WITH RARELY ANY NEED TO COME BACK NUMEROUS TIMES AND CHARGING THE CONSUMER OVER-PRICED FEES EACH TIME WE COME OUT.THESE BUSINESSES ARE TRYING TO GET RICH AND BECOME MAJOR CORPORATIONS,THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN DOING A FAIR,FAST ,AND EFFICIENT JOB.THEIR MAIN OBJECTIVE IS MONEY.DON'T BELIEVE ME? CHECK AROUND WITH NUMEROUS COMPANIES THAT DO THIS SAME TYPE OF WORK,AND YOU WILL SOON SEE THE PROFIT MARGIN JUMPS FROM THE LARGER CORPORATIONS.THAT PARTICULAR JOB (SIGHT UN-SEEN)OF COURSE,SHOULD USUALLY COST BETWEEN $125 AND $175 FOR REMOVAL AND HOURLY FOR DAMAGE REPAIRS AND EXCLUSION PERIOD!!NOT HATING ON THESE LARGE COMPANIES ,I JUST CALL EM' LIKE I SEE EM'.

Nowhere on our "local webpage" does it state that our office performs "Free Inspections" - if you read the entire section on the "Corporate Webpage" (which is where you found us) you would have found that this service is not available in all areas.



Your call was for a noise in the 3rd floor/attic which "you thought was squirrels". Obviously we would need to get into the attic to inspect - this could not be done with a drive by inspection.



It was explained to you that squirrels and bats are found in attics at this time of year.  The fee for a squirrel problem was explained to you as you have stated; if there were squirrels traps would have been set and monitored under that fee).  It ws also explained that if there is a "bat" problem the fee for inspection is still $289 and openings and evidence would be identified and a plan for removing them provided.  You were provided with an "Animal Entry Worksheet" report (which was included in your inspection) indicating repairs needed to remove them from the structure - and that the inspection fee would be applied to this repair fee. 



As you stated the technician was there for approximately 1 hour- which is why we do not perform "Free Inspections".



Free, "drive-by" inspections are usually only for measuring chimney caps, or looking at specific outside problems that do not require inside inspections, i.e. birds in a vent, and they are definitely not done on an appointment time.
