Hang All the Lawyers
by Lee Taylor
I don't believe that there is any person in this country that completely and accurately understands our legal system. As you research our wonderful collection of laws, the more you find that any particular act is illegal at some point and under certain conditions. It has gotten so bad that we no longer have a system of justice, only contradictory laws. Why is it like this and how did it get this bad?

There is only one group of people in this country that gets any direct benefit from a conflicting system of laws. The lawyers!

We, the American people, have been electing lawyers to our legislative houses for over 200 years. Lawyers make the laws, verify the laws, judge the laws, judge the people who violate the laws, and charge as much as $400 per hour to give individuals their opinions of the laws!

Our government is based on a system of "checks and balances". This means that no single person or group has absolute power over the country. And yet, who balances the lawyers?

It has gotten so bad that these lawyers actually introduced a bill to outlaw "Lawyer Bashing" (jokes against lawyers) into the California State legislature in early 1995! Fortunately, it was laughed off the floor by the public before it could go anywhere. A few years ago a bill was brought before congress in Washington D.C. to restrict political offices to lawyers! It died a quiet death when lobbyists threatened to leak the news to the public.

What we, the American people, have to do is get control away from the lawyers who have perverted our government for their personal profit. The easiest way to do that is to replace the crooked lawyers in our government with honest business people. Check on the candidates during the next election and see for yourself who the lawyers are, and then vote for someone else. As William Shakespeare said, "First of all, we hang all the lawyers."

Describe Incident: W W (Bill) Fayette 07-24-01 This I can not do, as I was not there when my creative Wood Sculptures were damaged Please go to this web site for what I thought I should do for myself at that time, because neither the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum.(ACDM) of Auburn Indiana President Robert SBaarge , or the United Parcel Service Company of America (UPS, headquartered in Atlanta Georgia. James P Kelley chairman and CEO. Would not even talk to me about this damage.

automotiveart.bizland.con/bodyshop.htm I hired the following lawyer in Avilla Indiana in about December of 1998 or January of 1999 to represent me in this case against UPS and the ACDM with the understanding that I would continue to try and get either one or both of these corporations to pay me the damage that I thought I had coming for my art work. I have written numerous letters to all concerned for the past couple of years with no response, that I would consider a legitimate answer. Recentley Mr. James F Stephens contacted me and told me he was not well enough to continue this case for me, so I am looking for a new Attorney to represent me. Mr Stephens referred me to your office and gave me your address. Would you be interested in doing this on a contigincey basis after you have looked at where this case is. If you would contact Jim stephens at his home in Kendallvill Indiana I would appreciate it, as I have been trying to get satisfaction out of these two Corporations for quite some time now. This is the information that I have on James F Stephens. Jim Stephens,J. D. 622 N Riley Street Kendallville IN. 46755 Phone 210-347-4695 Fax 219-343-030 Email:jfsjd88@hotmail.com Please contact him and talk to him, and then if your interested, would you please contact me. W W (Bill) Fayette Please take a look at my personel home page, A picture and my attitude about this nasty affair.

http://hometown.aol.com/fayetteww/myhomepage/personal.html

Describe Injuries: smashed and broken

Describe Damage: In the very begining I sent Greg Buttermore, my contact person, at the ACDM in Auburn Indiana a bill for$47,119.00. This as I understand it was so he could make a claim for this amount of damage against UPS, as I was told that I can not make the complaint as I was the owner of these Wood Sculptures, but not the shipper, so he did that. The outcome was UPS sent the museum a check for $1009.00. Gregg Buttermore cashed that check and in turn sent me a check for $1,009.00. I refused to cash this check, and wrote Buttermore a letter explaining why. I think UPS is trying to pull a scam on me and the Museum.

This check is still waiting in my file to be cashed, but even that is no good if I understand it correctley. Bear in mind that I had insured my sculptures for $155,000.00 with UPS going east to the Museum. There was damage going east to the Museum as told to me by Grant VanHorne. The Museums attorney in a letter he had written me, but the museum people at that time did not inform me, so that a claim could be made against UPS for the damage, as I was the shipper and would have done so, if I had been informed.

I have asked this question many times, but I have still at this date not received an answer to this question. I would also like to point out the Museum did not insure my Wood sculptures for $155,000.00 as I had done. The reason ???I don't know. As I understand it UPS would have paid the $47,119,36 at that time if they would have been properley insured. I have to ask the quetion of the museum, they use me to make money. I was glad to do it, as I wanted my art work seen, and there obligation to me was to protect me and my rights as long as they had these sculptures in there control.

I have self interest at stake here, so get in touch with Mr Stephens and see what his feelings are as to my posistion in this matter. I sent statements to the Museum and UPS every month since the begining of this fiasco and have charged them 1 1/2 % interest per month for a long time now and feel that this would cover my cost of waitng these people out. This is reaching near $100,000,00 now. So it is around this figure I would expect you to be bringing a lawsuit for this amount. I want to point out here that the Museum insurer (Cincinati Insurance Companies) did pay me $10,000.00 on a limited liability policy. This check I deposited to my account with the understanding that I would pursueing the Museum and UPS for the balance.

Medical Bills: $3,500.00 To James F Stephens for his work .

Other Information: I have many written Documents to show you if you want copys, I will be glad to fax them to you on your request. My Fax # 360-312-1700 I have more informatin, that I would be glad to send to you if you have any questions after you talk to Jim Stephens. Thank you. W W (Bill) Fayette

Star Publications, Inc. is the publisher for the book How To File A Complaint Against A Lawyer. We operate in the heart of the great Rocky Mountain Region in Colorado. Our corporation was formed in August, 2000 and we are registered with the Colorado Secretary of State.

Our Mission

Our mission is to expose the attorney grievance process to the American People. We aim to educate the People on how to pursue their rights to file a complaint when they believe they have been victimized by an attorney. We encourage each and every citizen to exercise his or her rights to be protected against any lawyer who has behaved unethically.

It is not our objective to put all lawyers out of business; in fact, we all need a lawyer at one time or another. However, we do not need the ones who take our money and don't perform the work they were hired to do. We don't need the ones who miss court dates, refuse to return telephone calls, create runaway fees, intimidate us if we don't agree with them, and the list goes on. It is our hope that in time, complaints filed will force more attorneys to conduct themselves ethically, or in the alternative, force the "bad" lawyers out of the business. This would certainly increase our confidence in knowing that when we do hire a lawyer, we are hiring a legitimate and ethical attorney we can trust.

Our Author

For more than twelve years, Rene Logan was a contract paralegal and bookkeeper for many attorneys in various fields of law. Working "inside" the legal profession, she has witnessed just how often attorneys take advantage of clients, lie to the clients and/or to the courts, intimidate or threaten clients who do not agree with them, and create runaway fees by charging clients the attorney rate for work performed by the secretary or paralegal.

In a recent interview, Rene explains further, "I have seen attorneys blow off cases and miss court hearings to go golfing with their buddies. If an attorney does not feel like dealing with a case, he or she will deliberately avoid client telephone calls for days and sometimes even weeks at a time. If he feels like smoking a joint while working on a brief, he'll do it, he'll get away with it, and he'll charge the client for the time it took to finish it in slow motion."

When asked to describe the worst unethical behavior she has ever witnessed, Rene responds, "That's a toss up between two attorneys. One attorney 'borrowed' client trust funds for years and collected his deceased wife's social security checks for almost a year after she passed away. They finally caught up with him and disbarred him for life. The other attorney settled a personal injury case and when the check came in payable to the attorney and the client, he endorsed the check by forging the client's signature, then depositing the check into his attorney business account. He refused to give the client a copy of the check or an itemization of expenses he was going to withhold from their settlement funds. When I personally threatened to file a grievance, the client promptly received all of his money. Needless to say, that was the end of my working relationship with that attorney and unfortunately, he's still in business."

In the book How To File A Complaint Against A Lawyer, the author shares her full experience in witnessing unethical conduct and guides the reader on how to identify a problem lawyer, avoiding a bad lawyer, and of course, how to file a complaint against a lawyer.
