Cross Country Bank stole $900.00 from me! I had paid my bill off fully through a quick collect form through western union. I recieved confirmation that the company recieved my cash. I am STILL getting collection notices and harassing phone calls from them. They stole my money!

Now, my credit is screwed up and I am having a hard time getting independent loans for school. I have filed with the BBB and am spreading the word wide! Do Not deal with these @#$%*&#@ !!!!! Save yourself a world of hurt and run the other way!

TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL HAS SUED CROSS COUNTRY BANK

AUTHOR: Joan - (U.S.A.)

In checking the information on the Pennsylvania suit, I came across information that the Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott, has also filed suit in June against Cross Country Bank and Rocco Abessinio, Individually for, among many things:

(1) misrepresenting the credit limit that consumers could expect to receive;

(2) charging customers for products and/or services that the customer did not authorize;

(3) representing that certain credit cards did not have an annual fee, when in fact such cards had a recurring monthly fee that was the equivalent of an annual fee; and

(4) making withdrawals from customers' bank accounts that were not authorized by the customer.

If you want to read the Original Petition which was filed with the Travis County District Clerk's Office, here is the link: http://www.oag.state.tx.us/oagnews/release.php?id=489&PHPSESSID=92792c24b7cee04551c14ecc2a8eb7c7

Thank you Mr. Abbott!!

Cross Country Sued Again

AUTHOR: Beverly - (U.S.A.)

I just found out that the Pennsylvania Attorney General has sued Cross Country Bank for the following violations.

Making multiple or frequent telephone calls to consumers at home and at work over an extended period of time.
Continuing to contact consumers even if they requested not to be contacted at home or at work.
Using obscene, profane, derogatory, rude and hostile language in communicating with debtors or their family members.
Contacting consumers before 8 a.m. and after 9 p.m., which is prohibited by law.
Failure to close consumers' accounts when requested to do so and/or falsely stating that they are prohibited from closing the accounts forcing consumers to continue to pay the fees.
Misled consumers about their identity when calling on the telephone. They also implied that they were lawyers in their written correspondence or collection letters to consumers.
Making improper legal and physical threats to coerce payments from consumers.
Making improper contact with third parties including close family members and children.
