Because of Ken Crowder's constant procrastination and his incompetence, our taxes did not get filed correctly or on time for 5 years. Causing us to pay the IRS over $5,000 in late filing fees and penalties. Plus over $1500.00 to have another CPA firm fix his mistakes. As we were getting notices from the IRS, we'd turn them over to Mr Crowder. He assured us it was not his fault and that these issues were being taken care of. I have documentation (emails) where he admits after the fact, that he didn't know what he was doing, that he was trying to save us money by doing our employment taxes. I feel that if he didn't know what he was doing he should have told us ahead of time. He did not save us money, but cost us thousand of dollars in penalties and interest to the IRS, as well as a Levy put on our company checking account for 3 days. Not to mention the mental stress I've suffered getting continual letters from the IRS. Every notice that we rec'd from the IRS was immediately given to Mr Crowder. Most of the time he wasn't even in his office. We had to slide the paperwork under his door. Mr Crowder has the opinion that no one has ever died from not paying their taxes on time. These were words that came out of his mouth. He admitted to me when we started getting these notices, that he was sorry. But he had a lot going on in his personal life. He was going through a divorce, then met a lady in the Philippians. For 3 years we rec'd letters from the IRS. It got to the point where we had to hire another firm to take care of these issues. Within a couple of months the other firm had helped us to get things taken care of correctly. Because of Mr Crowder's incompetence. I asked him to help with the late fee's and penalties. Which he refused to do. I would not recommend Crowder Accounting to anyone.
