Crst malone keeps you in the red with charge backs Trussville Alabama

At first crst/malone in trussville, al seems to be a nice company to lease to with your own truck. the things they dont tell you about when you are trying to lease with them are, They have no north east freight comming out of the aera so if you take a load out there be ready to dead head out of there to maybe easton pa or balitmore, md. The ad says $1.77 for all miles thats a load of crap you will be lucky to adv $1.40 pcm on all miles; also there milage calculator is always off by 50 to 75 miles so right there is lost revenue.
The adv. freight rate i see is $1.40 pcm and most agents only collect 20% for fsc not even close to what they have in there ad at .40 pcm. Now there is some realy good paying loads here not many but if you can find them you are lucky because unlike other companies that have agents and trucks crst/malone allows the agents to have trucks so the agents work together and keeping there trucks loaded they wont tell you that but i have exprienced it quite often in states like md, in, ga, ne, You get a cordinator assigned to you, some go the extra miles to find freight for you but others dont even try to help you. What they do tell you is you can use out side brookers to get freight but they wont give you the brooker list you can work off of you need to demand it from them before they give it up i dont know why they do it that way. Also crst/malone doesnt want to transport haz mat cant blame them for that but they will load it if needed but only low line hazmat they dont tell you that neither. That list will be verry use full to you in the future. You will be compeating with company and lease trucks i have come across it quite a few times. now there charge backs are the normal charge backs but here the kicker, if you leas on and get there plates they dont pro rate the tag there base plate is from the state of IL. so there tags start in march to march so if you come in during the middel of the year they still charge you for the whole year. your charge back for the plates go all year long you dont even get the next years plate and they are charging you for them already. if you can go there with your own gear for the flat bed thats great. They are over priced on the gear they sell you. when it comes to the tarps they only give you 1 lumber tarp and 1 steel tarp and 1 ulity tarp bs to that what you need out here is 2 lumber tarps and 3 steel tarps. dont even think about getting a covered waggon they will tell you, you need to be on a dedacated route to get it i cant tell you how many times i lost loads because i did not have a side kit for rolled steel. the other thing about them is they have the proper cargo insurance of $100,000.00 but only garintee $50,000.00 for freight on there trailer so there a lot of freight we cant get because of that i found that out by accident while speaking to a brooker who i thought was working with us. this is only my reasons whay i am leaving there are pleanty more i can come up with but you now have more info from someone eles whos been here for about a year
