Curtis international LTD. purchased their the dvd player through sears store and took the dvd player home. For a little bit it played the dvds then it would just freeze in mid play and do nothing else. i would take the dvd out and noticed it was scratched i went to email curtis international and the email was wrong. then i contacted the better business bureau. they managed to get ahold of them and they said they need a receipt. well i didn't think there would be any problems so naturally i didnt keep it. i contacted sears to see if they had a copy of it and magically it disappeared and they claimed they didn't have it either. etobicoke Ontario

Purchased the dvd player at sears at my local mall. Brought it home it was working fine. Then all of a sudden we went to play another dvd one night (brand new just out of wrapper) and we put it in it played. 5 seconds onto what we were watching the dvd player made a grinding sound then just froze.band did absolutely nothing after that. So we took the dvd out cleaned off looked at it and there were several scratches all over the dvd. I was mad. Every dvd we tried it did the same thing so we can't even watch a dvd without wondering if its going to happen every time. So i filed a report with the better business bureau, was told that they're having problems getting Curtis international Ltd. To respond so they're going to close my case. I don't see how that's fair if the better business bureau is supposed to be for the consumers.
