I hired custom software lab to develop a new website and software program for my business. I signed a contract on 2/8/12 and 29k and 7 months later I still have nothing. I have paid 95% of the development cost and they are requiring me to pay more money. The website is not finished and the software program is unusable. The program is maybe 50% complete and is missing the majority of the major functions. Per the agreement the project was suppose to be completed in 50 days. Our project manager in the middle of the development stage is gone, still do not have an answer why. David is demanding more money for work that was already in the proposal. Basically he is trying to extort us for more money and holding up our program and website. He now has pulled all access to any of our links to our program and website. His only response is send another payment in and he will continue. 29k spent on a 31k project with nothing to show for it seems like a big ripoff to me. Stay away from custom software lab.

The project was released on August 17th 2012 for a full review by the client.  The client provided feedback and we resolved all the in scope items on the list within 1 week of receipt. There were some new requirements not defined in the agreed to scope that are being discussed with client. These are not small charges and require a lot of new programming that was not in the budget.

The client understood and requested that we send a full breakdown of the items; per the email listed below. The client was unhappy with the dollar amount we quoted based on our hourly rate; so in good faith we discounted down the amount by 67% and believed it was a fair deal for the client. 

Our goal is to make the client happy and complete the project and believe a 67% discount on upgrades is fair.  In the end, the client demanded all items be done at no cost to them. We were unable to eat 100% of the $15,000 in upgrades and that was explained to the client. When we were on a call to resolve the matter the client hung up on us and posted this review.  We
requested to resolve this amicably but the client has not responded to our request.  83% of the project budget has been paid to date for a project that is 98% complete, pending last review by client.
