   THIS IS THE CUT-THROAT ENTERTAINMENT 'COLUMBUS OHIO' - THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPANIES WITH THE SAME NAME, AND THIS BY NO MEANS, REFLECTS THE BUSINESS PRACTICES OF ANYONE BUT THIS GROUP OF PEOPLE

   Cut-Throat Entertainment has over 50 people involved, all of which they consider "investors" because they ask for monthly fees. It is high pressure, as they hold meetings in libraries and take money at the door.

   Basically, how the company works is they get people really excited about their movies, and fail to produce in a timely manor, and people leave the company. So, they sign on more "investors" - which is shady. They have virtually no background in film production, take advantage of gullible teens, and lie about everything involved in the process - boasting a return on investments, and even lie about the future implantation of a production facility downtown Columbus - which may be a real goal... but not until they have money. 

   They once claimed to have 50+ employees/investors, and yet shot their last 40 min quasi feature for 3,000$. There were maybe 30-40 people on set, 3-5 with any professional experience. I do not know if anyone was paid They slander people when they attempt to leave the "Company" calling them unprofessional and childish in mass e-mails sent out to everyone involved in the company.

   The content of their movies is supposed to be horror, but it is softcore porn. In their premier movie "break" ... a 40 minute feature (40mins does not qualify as a feature, and will not be recognized as one by any legitimate competition or organization as a feature), they boasted 7 topless girls in production. I am not aware of how many made the final cut. There have been several claims of sexual harassment regarding key figures within the company, however, none have been followed up with legal action. Generally, the females receive a cordial e-mail from the company, and then a second sleazy "would you be willing to go nude, and what would you be willing to do sexually" email from a faux address - but sharing CTE's IP address. At the premier, key figure of the production who had a falling out with the company, were not credited - Keep in mind, that everyone involved is an "investor" - So, if you give this company money they will take it, but you may not even be recognized by the production!

   Cut-Throat Entertainment at this time 2009 to early 2010, is NOT a licensed LLC, which makes ----- the sole proprietor and CEO...but he probably does not know this having no background in business, and only a minor incomplete education in film production. It is also not recognized by the BBB.

   Avoid them at all costs. I joined their company a little over a year ago and left after production of their first movie "Break". They ridicule you when you leave and then beg you to come back when they need money.

   They have a complete lack of professionalism, and are built around lies, and slander. They are not, "The Midwests premiere film production company" as stated on their website ...not on a 3,000$ budget! They even have some decent hardworking people tied in with their scam. The issue is that they're governed by individuals who have absolutely no idea what they're doing, can look you in the eye and lie to your face - which puts everyone involved at risk.

   I'm fairly certain that several points in the aforementioned script are illegal practices. I however, am not an entertainment lawyer. The point of this article is not to slander the company, but inform the public of their operation practices as of 2009.

   Avoid them at all costs, and demand your "investment" money back if you're involved. If they want real investors, they should be able to get real investors - and not be forced to rely on naive kids' date money. They currently recruit through "craigslist" in every major city in Ohio. They no longer put their company name on adds because everyone that has worked with them flags their posts on sight.
