Basically, I like my Cybersonic tooth-cleaning device, and my wife likes hers. We bought two probably at the end of July of 2001. They arrived quickly, worked as advertised and are still working fine. I make a point of charging the batteries in the charging stand only once a month or so. The batteries get real hot and that's not good for them.
I signed up for the free (plus shipping) toothbrush deal, and the first sets came just fine... but the second shipment contained only one set of brushes, not the two sets they billed me for. Today I called the 800# listed on my Amex and waited for about 45 minutes while reading this forum. After I found the number for Katie (310-834-3525), I called, asked for her and got to speak with her right away.
I think we patched up the problem... they are sending the missing brushes out right away, but it will take maybe two weeks to get here... and my invoice will always have the wrong name (Roger Maggert are you out there?) with my address and billing info. I'll write back if my problem isn't resolved.
I would rather buy a bunch of brushes all at once and re-order when I need them. The shipping cost for the free replacement is high... $4.65 for the first set and an additional $2 for the second. I'm rationalizing that it's only $1.11 for each of us a month (or $1.66/brush X 4)... and delivered to our door with out me having to call them or order off the web.
If you call Katie... please treat her well. She was quite helpful and cheery while trying to correct their problem with my account.
