I waited for another month but again the product never arrived. So I called again in October/2001, but was told the same story by the Cybersonics representative about computer glitch/inventory problem. They again promised to ship the electric unit right away.
Then I waited another 2 to 3 weeks and called Cybersonics again on 11/7/01 or thereabout and was told that the toothbrush was shipped on 11/5/01. I waited until 11/28/2001, but there was still no toothbrush.
I called Cybersonics around 11/28/2001 to check again and was told again that the product has not been shipped, even though earlier they said they had shipped the product on 11/5/2001! In the meantime, Cybersonics charged me $4.89 on 11/20/2001 for the replacement brush heads. The replacement brush heads were ordered as part of their scam to entice folks like me to order.
The scam is they'll ship me the "free" replacement brush heads every 3 months and charge me only $4.89 for shipping. But now since I didn't have the toothbrush electric unit, the brushheads are totally useless. In exasperation, I asked for a total refund around 11/28/2001 for all charges and also asked Cybersonics to stop sending me any replacement brush heads. To-date, I have not seen a penny back from Cybersonics for a product that was never shipped to me.
Since Cybersonics was stringing me along for more than two months, my right to contest the charges to my credit card company within sixty days of the billing statement also expired. So my credit card company refused to help and I can't take Cybersonic to small claims court because of logistics.
Cybersonics is running a scam. They billed me for a product that was never shipped and they were stringing me along with false promises. I have called Cybersonics repeatedly, almost everyday, Monday thru Friday since 11/20/2001 and have never been able to get a resolution or a refund. Everytime I called they would promise to send the refund request to the account department, but I have not seen a penny back yet.
I no longer want the product from this disreputable company. I just want a refund now for $4.89 and $118.48. Cybersonics has been notified by me by telephone to stop sending me the brush heads and the power unit.
I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I will also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and Consumer Products Protection Agency, District Attorney's office and other relevant agencies

It was my bank that gave me refund, not Cybersonic

POSTED: Monday, February 04, 2002In fact I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Cybersonic had the gall to rebut that complaint by saying they have proof that they shipped me the product. Well they certainly did ship me a product alright, but it was for the free replacement brush heads and not the expensive power unit itself. Without the power unit, what good are the replacement brush heads?! They are such a bunch of liars and yahoos. I know Cybersonic shipped the replacement brush heads with a Delivery Confirmation, but I'm willing to bet my $118.48 that they won't be able to come up with a delivery confirmation for the power unit. I saved the plastic pouch packaging for the replacement brush heads with the delivery confirmation on it just in case I need to prove my point.
When I have a free moment next week I will also file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, the Post Master General, and State Attorney General, and any other relevant agencies. I'm determined to put a stop to their scamming. If it weren't for my credit card company I'm certain I would not have seen a penny back from Cybersonic.

POSTED: Tuesday, January 08, 2002I was about to close this credit card account to keep Cybersonic from keep on charging me $4.89 every three months for the replacement brushheads that I wouldn't be able to use without the power unit.
It has been quite an ordeal and it destroyed my faith in all merchandise hawked by TV informercials.
