I was unable to transfer my situation to this site but it should post within a couple days.I am also interested in what action if any you can take against DAC if any?
I am more than sure you will find more than enough to take action. I have spoken to a couple of lawyers who don't want to take action against this company and I am writing to you asking why DAC is so untouchable?

All that wrongfully been reported to DAC
AUTHOR: William - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, January 16, 2007
POSTED: Tuesday, January 16, 2007I suggest you contact OOIDA. They have been legal battles with DAC about these matters. I was an o/o intill 2 years ago and was with a great company. I sold out because of the fuel cost and all the triple taxation that the trucking industry has. I hauled oversize all over the country. As an o/o I needed to know the laws to run my bussiness. One of the things I learned is that no trucking can fill a report with DAC with proof and has to proof it before it can be put it on your report. DAC has been sued for this more than once. Also contact your state CDL help desk to help with your CDL's
Best of wishes to all you truckers. I'm still a local truck driver and I'm still a member of OOIDA.

POSTED: Wednesday, August 02, 2006my record ended up being in the state department, even when something is expunged you have to go down there and take the physical record out personally, atleast in my state.
FYI although we all know, alot of truckers are telling trucker tales and we all know companies lie, find yourself an ISO certified company like (((competitor's names ROR redacted))) and learn how to work the ISO 9001,9002 rules, its easy to get your boss fired or demoted with them, ive done it 3 times in 2 years,
sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome! The problem with DAC/USIS
AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Saturday, December 31, 2005
POSTED: Saturday, December 31, 2005Then as a driver you dispute it, and they can't change it because the only choices are the canned ones!
Then you as a driver exercise your right to add a consumer statement, and DAC/USIS re-writes it with thier wording and totally changes the meaning! They won't publish your statement unless the company verifies it!
DAC/USIS needs to be shut down. All assets need to be divided amongst all drivers that have ever been screwed by them. That should be about 5 bucks per driver!
I'm ready once more to do battle with DAC.

DAC, or whatever they want to call themselves now, is a class action suit waiting to happen. Look how many thousands of people they are harming the employment prospects of, because of falsehoods.

The whole trucking industry sucks!
AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Sunday, January 02, 2005
POSTED: Saturday, January 01, 2005You work 100 hours a week. Your pay is $800 to $1000. Gross. You end up with $600 to $800 in your pocket. Now, that sounds great to some 9-5 factory worker. Wake up, pal. This ain't no 9-5 job.
I said 100 hours a week. That's 14 to 15 hours a day, 7 days a week. No weekends off. You get 3 days home once a month. Forget wife and kids, you'll never see them. Eventually, your wife gets sick and tired of this and moves on.
Don't even get me started on the fleets. Hell, they'd never print my comment if I told you what I think of the fleets.
In 2 years, I was at Swift, England, Crst, Kllm, Jb Hunt, Marten, Idiot(US) Xpress, Gainey, and finally this little, 70 truck fleet called Kennedy Transport out of Romeoville.
Those last idiots took $25 out of my pay for bad brakes on THEIR tractor. That was enough. I ran home to LA, and left the tractor, and the loaded trailer, in the drop yard, 2000 miles from the only terminal they owned.
Couldn't care less about DAC. Let the fleets fill the DAC computer up with nonsense, for all I care. I won't go back to fleets ever again.
If I want to drive I'll buy a tractor and get my own authority. Ain't no DAC can stop you from doing that!
No money in that either. What, I'm going to run for $1 a mile. Hell, fuel is .35 a mile now. What's left for me? There's no money in trucking!
For those of you determined to stick it out, here's some info to fight DAC.
Dac is now USIS services. But, it's the same trash. Go to their web site.
The owner/opps sued DAC. This was on their web site.
July 8, 2004, Grain Valley, MO - The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) announced today that it has filed a class action suit against USIS Commercial Services Inc., d.b.a. as DAC Services. OOIDA filed the suit along with five of its owner-operator members in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado on behalf of all professional drivers who are now, or may be in the future, the subject of a consumer report published by a motor carrier or by USIS or its predecessor, DAC Services.
DAC is required to follow the same rules as credit agencies. You can file a dispute and have negative or misleading information corrected.
If someone flat out lied, a trucking industry lawyer can help you get a judgment against the fleet that lied, as well as DAC for not correcting it. Bear in mind, this ain't easy. You'd have to prove in court that the fleet lied. This usually comes down to he said/she said. The judge has no idea who is lying.
It's possible to get a judgment against DAC. I just wouldn't hold my breath. It's easier to clean up negative information.
But, so what? Why fight for a job that's just going to treat you like trash, then leave you to starve beside the road somewhere? Besides, now you can't even idle to keep warm. There are more places everyday that put up signs and hit you with fines.
I can do the job. I can run a Century with the best of the long nose Petes. I've had my share of 4000+ mile weeks. But, why beat yourself up like this? The money ain't there. That's for sure! There's much easier ways to make a living.
Sound like your dream job? It's sure as hell not mine!

Schneider, the company lies.
AUTHOR: Damien - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, July 28, 2004
POSTED: Wednesday, July 28, 2004Less then two months after I graduated, I was on my way to Dallas to train for Schneider. I spent two weeks there in the academy learning how to do it the "schneider way", which is really nothing more then learning that the company tries to own you. I did so well there, that I was offered an immediate position in Schneider's Bulk division hauling tankers. After graduating there, I was sent to New Orleans for bulk training. During the course, one of the trainers asked me what I did before I started trucking. I informed him that I was a private investigator, and worked in corrections. He did not like that, and I swear to you the look on his face was one of panic, although I had long since stopped that carrier. Then I found out that Schneider tries to enforce this rediculous pile of pull that once you sign on with them, you have to work for them a year, or you cant work for anyone else, which I told them was the biggest pile of crap I had ever heard in my life. Things went downhill from there.
Somehow, a story from my childhood envolving an old tractor and a hay trailor that had a de-fective fifth-wheel mechanism, got construed as an "accident I failed to mention", even though I was just a child, I was not driving, it happened on private property, and it was a nothing more then a funny country farming equipment experience, where the trailer disconnected and went in a canal, loosing all the hay. The director of the course then proceeds to tell me that Scheinder has decided to "cease all communication with me, and be released from training with no intent to rehire."
Recently, I've come to find out, that I have a bad report on my DAC from Schneider which states something to the fact that I failed to mention and accident, and to the day I have only had one fender bender, which happened AFTER I trained for Schneider. Schneider has cost me several good jobs in the last 3 years. Most companies wont hire you if you dont have that verifiable one year OTR experience, but no OTR company will hire me because of the slander, and false information DAC provides to them.
I am 24 years old. I already have a lot working against me simply because I am young. Most companies wouldnt even look at my application unless I was 23, 25, 27, and some even 29 years old. Thats age descrimination if I have ever seen it. And NOW, the few that would hire me, wont, because a company that was intimidated by my abilities as a private investigator, and angered by my willingness to stand up for my rights as a United States citizen to work for who I want, and resign from them WHEN I want, has fed a lie to a company that is seemingly untouchable. Some of these reports are lies, and I think the reporting companies, and DAC services should be held repsonsible for damages caused to any and every driver who has had a similar experience.
Any driver out there knows how difficult it is to get a good driving job these days, and the last damn thing we need is more crap because we dont bend over and re-shape our existances to the companies in whom we are nothing more than a number. DAC is untouchable, because no one has succeeded in cutting them down to size. I say we start now, and we go all the way with it to the federal government, and let companies like Schneider, or DAC, or any other company know, that as drivers and United States citizens, we are protected from this mess, and we do to appreicate, nor will we tolerate our rights as such being violated. Good luck to you all, and I hope we get something started.

I am unemployable due to false Info on my DAC

POSTED: Monday, January 26, 2004Next company that listed a bad reference and sais I am unhirable is Southbound Express. They paid me a check that supposively was not mine and I cashed the check at my bank. That was a mistake they made for not making sure it was my check. I offered to pay the money
in partial payments.
They refused and took the full payment out of my check ruining my rent. My wife was upset and turned them in to Labor and Industries for hiring illegals and to find out if it was legal for them to do that. That was there mistake not mine. Sure the money was not mine but it was a mistake that they made. So, they are upset and give a bad reference and say that they will not hire me. I was a great driver for them.
Next company is Night Transportation. Listed upon the DAC report is two accidents/incidents which should not even be listed because there is no varifiable proof that I did what they said. Which I never did but have the information within there computers.
Most companies say that its two accidents because they dont want to spend the time to find out the information. Its all red tape. I wish DAC info was more explanable. the first incident was making a U-turn in a daycare center which I thought was the cisco entrance and after I turned in the truck to the company I found out later that the company said that the wing that gaurds the smoke stack in the back of the truck was bent. When I did an inspection after driving the truck no damage was found but its listed within there computers as me being the culprate just because the daycare center called the company saying I was making a U-turn within there parking lot. They have no proof and should not put false judgement without proof. The next incident was a damaged doc. I have no clue and never notice the doc being damaged I was just at the wrong spot at the wrong time. I never damaged the doc and I am careful when backing up. A few days later Knight called me and ask me if I damaged the doc. I was stumped because I had no clue about the damage. Even there they should not have it on DAC or even keep it within there computers as a strike upon me. I did nothing so why am I accused of doing it.
I quit Knight transportation once and rehired. They tell companies that they will not hire me but when I call they say they will hire me??? MMMM. well you get the point on that one. The first time I quite was due to divorce stress and not having a place to live since the wife kicked me out. I had to survive and do what I needed to do. They new about all that was going on so the first time I was hirable. The second I only worked for a month at knight and before I quit I was under a load. A family member was sick and I needed to get out from under the truck to see the person. I called the company and asked them if I could take a plane to the destination. They wanted me to run the load first. I did not because an emergency is an emergency and anyone would take the action I took. I left the load and truck at the Stockton Yard and found a way to the Sacramento airport and took the plane. From my amazment the were exstremely pist at me and had a conference with me and over the phone. I do not get a good reference from them either. I performed a good job for them also. One company I think is good is J.B. hunt when it comes to good reports that are true.
I took a medical leave from divorce stress and they listed correct info. They may be a little crooked but when it comes to correct info even though I left them in that way atleast they put correct info down and say I am rehirable. All these companies burn a drivers record and its not fair. I have to settle for crappy jobs. Is this what I get for working hard? I may have had a hard time because of the depression of divorce and have ruined a few jobs but when information is incorrect it should never be listed. What should I do? Should I calle EEOC or get a lawyer. A driver shouldnt have to deal with correcting the companies incompetence to tell the truth. I believe in truth not false information out of anger or just saying false information to hurt a good drivers record. Who will hire me if anyone.
I guess if you are an owner of a good company give me a call at 509-457-8857 but if your not dont bother to call me because I feel that I am worth more and that I should not be treated as a number or some kid that just graduated from kiderngarden. I really need a job and the more companies I put my application into the more resources I loose. I am not getting hired. I know some people have bad luck but now I went from living good to sleeping on the floor at a friends going to food banks. I need a job, HIRE ME. Up to date I am not sure what is listed upon my DAC report but It must be really bad and It shouldnt be but from what companies that I have tried to apply for it is and they will not even give me a second look. Truck driving is all I know and Im getting older not younger. Im 28 WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I know it doesn't sound like much but it does give motive for employers to make false reports regarding employees.
I also feel with an advertisement on their home page like that, DAC should be responsible for verifying the validity of all claims from an employer.

SRT Transportation told DAC Services that I was an employee of theirs. They sent in to DAC that I had failed a drug screen. They had no right to accuse me of false information and cause my DAC report to cause another employer not to hire me. This has hurt my driving career immensley. I have went through a lot of changes emotionally getting over this. They should not commit an act of anger just because I decided not to go to work for them.
