I had purchased a trial of Dazzle Smile teeth whitener for the shipping and handling fee of $1.95.  I wasn not told that the item had to be shipped back to them within 14 days or I would be charged $87.62..Well, on November 3, 2009, a charge came to our debit card for the amount of $87.62. I called the company and was told to mail the trial unit back to them at the Iowa address they provided to me with the cancellation number on it.  I did so immediately.  I waited 5 days and called them.  I was told that they received the product and that the refund was issued and would be put back onto the debit card provided when the original transaction went through within 5-10 business days.  I waited until the 11th business day to call and check on why or where our refund was. I was told that the refund was "refused" by our bank..??? So I called the bank and was told that noone has tried to refund to the account.  So I called the whitener company, yet again, to be disconnected. 


I called again. I was finally connected to a supervisor.  I was told that it was a problem on their end as to why I didn't get the refund and that all's I had to do was call my bank and tell them to give me a "charge back"..Whatever one of those is.  So once again, I call my bank and get the same thing that a charge back could not be issued because the whitener company never tried to issue a refund at all.  I called the whitener company back, again, super aggitated now, asked for a supervisor-again..He told me that I had to call my bank back again.  I said that that isn't going to work.  I told the man that I wanted a refund that I am entitled to.  Not only did the man get hasty with me, but told me that there was nothing more he could do!!  I wound up getting so upset, I hung up the phone.  I have no idea, now, how to get the money back.  It's almost a hundred bucks I am out of and have 3 kids to raise.  This is not fair.  Oh, and one more thing, the bank told me that there is nothing they can do unless they refused the payment, like the whitening place says they did.  The bank is saying that I got ripped off.  That is what I must believe at this point.  I would like to hear from others if this has happened to them with this company: Dazzle Smile or Improvehealth as it says on the bank statement.

You can sit there and say what you want about misunderstanding..the true fact is that you at your company passed along my credit card information after you took $87.62 from me. I sent the trial back with the cancellation number on it. I had other charges coming in on my card so I had no choice but to have the bank cancel the card.  You all have my address in your system..alls you would have had to do is mail me a check in the amount of $87.62 to settle this.  Instead, you keep scheming folks out of their hard earned money. I am not a confused patron, you seem to be the confused party.  It's not rocket science to see what you have done to the unfortunate folks who fell into your money making scheme.  It's b.s. about the chargeback thing too.  How can you do a chargeback on something that you never tried to deposit back into peoples' accounts? I speak for all of us folks who will most likely never see our money back and did the required by sending the trial back.  This is not only theft, but not fair.  Happy New Year to ya!!

We have all been taken by this unlawful scheme.  I didn't cancel my credit card quick enough.  As soon as the Dazzle Smile company knew that I knew I wasn't getting my refund, they must have quickly told their affiliate to take money from my account before I canceled the card.  How upsetting to be a single mom of 3 trying to make it in this world and then you have companies out there doing this to us.  I am over $111 short for Christmas presents for the kids' now.  What a shame that these places continue to be able to do business.  Please be aware that if you don't cancel your credit card number that these companies have, you will see fees that you will have no idea where they came from.  They won't even say "sorry".  They consistently claim that you ordered their product.  Whats funny is that you will never receive whatever it is you supposedly bought, lol.
