I recd a cll from a Tony ??? at CDS. Tony sd that he was give a number as a business associate of another person. I advd Tony that I dont give my ph # to anyone and that I wanted my ph # out of their system. He would not hang up and continued to demand a ph #. I advd Tony my cell ph is on the do not call registry and that my ph # is to be taken out. Tony continues to demand a ph # and I tell him I dont have one and to get my ph # out or I will file a complaint against him. Tony continues to harrass me for a telephone # for the person and again I tell him that I dont have one and to get my f---- ph # out. Tony says "dont you understand I have to have a ph #. I yell, "What I understand is that I want my Ph # out of your system. Tony again demands a ph # and I hang up on him. I call him back on another ph and he sys CDS but refuses to Identify the name of the company. After numerous attempts to get the name of the company he hangs up on me. I cll bak immediately and my ph # has been blocked

What this person is doing is illegal. At a minimum it is harassment. What you need to do is file a report with police. After filing a report you need to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission because it is illegal according to the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act for a debt collector to contact a third party in order to locate a debtor more than once. So, if this company has called more than once they are in violation of a federal law. It is also against federal law for him to refuse to tell you what company he is calling from after you ask him.
