DELL motors is defrauding the public they state they are a financing company that you are buying your car and when you sign the leasing agreement paperwork they state that they ordered the wrong form that it is acting as an buyers agreement. The difference is that when you sign a buyers agreement as you should you pay on your car and you get a title when it is paid off, but at DELL they make you sign a Leasing agreement meaning that once you pay the car off if they want to or not they can give you the title or they can say well you leased the car. so now your lease is done so you need to return the car or you can buy it for what it is worth. so if you paid $10,000.00 they can say if you want the car you can buy it for $6500.00 and if you dont they may have the right to take your car away that you just paid off because of that agreement that you signed and that they defraud you into signing it and giving you the impression that you own and are buying the car not that you are leasing ( Like a Rental Car ). and at the end you need to give it back. So tell me if this is not a SCAM and are working as FRAUDS!!!!!!!!

I totally disagree

AUTHOR: Parker - ()

I totally disagree with what this "rip offs" website has to say or complain about with the Dells Motors dealership. First and foremost, these are used cars .... not brand new. Secondly, knowing that they used, you should be smart enough to know to suppect some issue (s) being a used car. I have to be honest, I bought a 03 white c240 Mercedes several months ago from Dell Motors.  The car is a beautiful car but it had an issue or two when I purchased the car. When I brought the issue to the dealerships attention, they took ownership of the issues and corrected them in every timely fashion! Before I purchased the car, every detail of the purchase was outlined and what will be exspected from both parties.

Yes, I do have a pay off at the end of my three year contact which is a whole $248.00 ..... I have no Iidea what these other people are talking about. Anyway, Dell Motors of Allentown PA is not a rip off dealership but one of the better car dealers ou t there. Their service center is fast, uses dealer parts and explains in detail how they are going to put a smile back on your face for a lot less then you would some place else. I am actually looking at purchasing another car from them if I can talk ny wife into it!!!!  Lol .... I love Dell Motors and I look to do business with them for a cery long time exspecially now that they are under new managenent ...  it has gotten even better .... try them!!!!

*If* it really went down the way the OP said it did, this is a valid Ripoff Report

AUTHOR: Steve - (USA)

Just because something is legal does no mean it is not a ripoff. I certainly would not sign a lease agreement either, but one should not be penalized by unscrupulous dealers for being naive. A lot of people just do not know what they are doing. Note that the OP "bought" at a "buy here, pay here" joint, which means she is probably not of high socioeconomic status, and these are the people that often get taken. So now if someone Googles the company's name, they will see this report and at least see what the company does (again, IF the report is accurate). *I* would certainly never go to a place that would lie about what a person was signing; who knows what else they try to pull!

That being said, it is hard to believe a company would pull this kind of a stunt.

To the OP: if you have the form you signed, please upload it. Also, do you have any of the following info?

Make/Model/Year of car
Cap Cost: (this is the actual cost of the car)
Residual amount: (this is the amount you would have to pay at the end of the lease to keep your car)
Monthly payment, excluding tax
Length of lease (e.g. 36 months, 48 months, etc)

Hard to say.

" So tell me if this is not a SCAM  "

I don't know for sure.    Could you explain why someone would sign a lease agreement if they intended to purchase a car?   If they were forging your signature, I could see it.   If you freely signed an agreement to lease and are now saying that you wanted to buy, then you have a problem.

" but at DELL they make you sign a Leasing agreement  "

This is the part I don't get.  How are they MAKING you sign an agreement that you supposedly do not agree with?  Gun or knife?  You are aware that the second word in "lease agreement" means that it is something that you are agreeing to do.

  I'm stumped.
