We all have been exposed to many of the American Express Delta Airlines commercials promising us 25,000-30,000 frequent flyer miles for obtaining and using their credit card. DONT FALL FOR THIS ....according to the recent article in USA today...delta has the worst record for redeeming and cashing in their miles.....MY WIFE AND I ACCUMULATED OVER 200,000 MILES OVER A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS,the first time we tried to use them for a ticket, we were told a domestic ticket will require 40,000 miles when all the other airlines give you a seat for 20-25000 miles, we tried to book a ticket for europe, Delta wanted 90,000 miles ( all economy seats)...other airlines give you the same for 50,000 miles. You are probably thinking that we tried to get a seat at the last moment...WE TRIED TO BOOK THREE MONTHS BEFORE OUR TRAVEL DATE, WHICH WAS NOT A SPECIAL HOLIDAY OR A BLACK OUT DATE. Bottom line is that these guys have awarded billions of miles and at the same time, reduced their capacity...so it is very difficult to get a seat. Your best bet is Southwest Airlines and Jet Blue. BOTTOM LINE; TRASH YOU DELTA AIRLINES CREDIT CARD.
