DIRECTV rip-off in fine print , Internet

DIRECTV , the fine print rip-off . Has anyone ever read all the fine print in a contract or bill ? Better start , because companies such as DIRECTV are hiding things in them that can cost you money ! The main one should be deemed illegal & never allowed by any company .

When I became unemployed , I called & cancelled my account with DIRECTV , told them that when I started back to work or received my unemployment checks , I would call & set-up a payment plan . A couple weeks later , I went to a store to make a purchase & found NSF (Non sufficent funds) first I called my bank . Next I called DIRECTV , this is when they imformed me about the small print !

Being unemployed in a small rural town means limited job availability . We ( my wife & I ) had limited funds in our account & planned it to survive until I was back to work or our first unemployment check arrived ! Then to discover that they (DIRECTV) auto-deducted everything from our account , leaving us $2.42 !!

During my conversation with DIRECTV they said they can do NOTHING & I had to contact my bank . So , next I returned another call to my bank where we have to file a dispute . The dispute will take up to 10 days to complete . So , people beware this company , I do not believe that this could be allowed to be legal !

DIRECTV has poor reception & was never as good as the Cable TV I use to have ! When weather got bad & we needed the weather channel , the connection went out on multiple occasions .

  Our government should pass a law making this an illegal way of business & anyone that has had this happen to them should all get together & file a suite against them ! Come on Washington , wake-up & help the little guy !!
