On 11/22/05 Dish Network installed their satellite service. Worked fantastic until December. Called customer service and they tried to fix this over the phone. Did not work. They said it was a bad remote control. They mailed me another one. Was not the problem.
Called them again. They told me they would send out a service tech. They sub-contract to Horizon Entertainment, Schuylkill Haven, Pa.(They will be next in line for my complaints.) He said the receiver was bad. Had another one with him. He installed the new one and took the defective one with him. It work fine for a few days.
Then we had the same thing happen again. A second tech from the same company came out. Checked everything and he said that the second one was bad also. He too had a new one with him. Replaced the receiver again and he too took the defective receiver with him.
We have "no" additional receivers!!!
Dish Network sent us an invoice for the cost of the two receivers that were removed by their technicians. We called and called and called and waited and waited on hold, hours on end to tell the to contact the people who took them. After many trying telephone calls, they located one and said they were trying to find the second one.
Here it is, 4/8/06 and we are still being harrassed. They shut off the service this week. They are still wanting money for an item we do not nor ever had.
We call and call, but on hold at one time for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The people we tald to in customer service and the people who call from collections, etc, are very, very rude. No one will take our calls seriously. They want the money. They just transfer us from one phone to another.
We are sick already. We are contacting an attorney on Wednesday and are filing theft charges against the tech that took the receiver, suing Dish Network for harassment and whatever else we can. They even had warning notices on the T.V. that our account is not paid and service will be cut off if we do not pay. We had guests over and they saw that. Do you know how embarassing that is? We do pay for the service every month. We will not pay for something we do not have.
It is hard putting this in writing. How do we put into works how aggrevated & humiliated we feel right now.
Please, please help us.......
