I am livid with Drive Time - The "NO GOOD GUYS." In September 2008 after paying for two vehicles we purchased with the Drive Time Dealership since June 2004, both of the cars were stolen. However, it wasn't from a stranger but from the company formerly known as Ugly Duckling. While me and my husband slept at approximately 5:00 AM - Recovery USA quietly took both of our cars, the Dodge Stratus and Ford Taurus.

The principal amount of the loan plus interest was paid in full on both of the vehicles: Dodge Stratus. Instead of giving us our car titles they repossessed them. According to the collections team, we were being charged late fees and additional interest. When we asked for an itemized statement of the fees, our requests were completely ignored. To make matters worst the Ford Taurus had transmission problems which cost more than $700 to repair and the corporate office rep promised to reimburse us for the charges but this also never happened.

Not only did the company receive full payment of more than $18,401 for the Dodge but they also received about $16,900 for the Ford. The loan matured in April 2008 and at that time an additional $4,347 was assessed to the account in order not to surrender the titles.

Sadly, we will be unable to recover both of the vehicles because they were sold at an auction recently. Now, our credit is severly ruined and we do not have any transportation. As a result, I lost my job and my home. The stress was too much to endure, and caused me to have a nervous break down.

When you call to Drive Time, you are calling the operations center. It is at

Here are some Rats that work for Drive Time and their contact numbers'. These people work in the warranty department; you know, the rats that decide if they will repair the junk they sold you. Angela Powell 480-632-3083 and her cell 602-391-9466, Chris Camp 480-632-3814, Teresa Gomez 480-632-3857, the direct number to the front desk in 480-813-5200. These numbers should help you get to talk to a rat that you can vent your frustration. All the warranty department and customer service extensions start with 3???. IF you dial 480-632-3and three other numbers you will probably dial someones extension in warranty or customer service. Now you do not have to call the 800 #'s and get the run around.
