was to large for generator. She said I would need to purchase a unit with 4500 watts or higher to operate Ac. Then when I asked about parts. Brenda stated that she would have to special order generator head from supplier and let me know. That was 7-21-08 . Have called with no response as of 8-27-08.
My ac info states 20 amp. breaker. 20amps x 120 volts = 2400 watts.
The unit I puchased states. 3500watts surge , 2500watts ac output. The math shows that the unit was rated to operate a 13,500 btu ac.In the owners manual is stated. 2500 watts devided by 120 volt = 20.83 amps. Brenda and duropower are trying to ripe off america with cheap chinese merchandise and I Fell for it just like 63 other people who have filed complaints with the BBB of
California. Good luck to all who get scammed by promises of warrenty or parts replacements. Just have to wait for the next boat from China.

the customer should have purchased a generator that had a continous output of 3500 watt. Not a surge. Surge is only for and brief momentt to get a secondary motor up and running. as he has posted 3500watt surge 2500 watt A/C output. This clearly shows he has over loaded the unit and this is why it shuts down. As stated on our web as the customer states he checked, it shows the start up and surge values for a 13.500 btu air conditioner at 3500 continous watt. And the unit he purchased continous wattage is at 2500 watt. As on our web site we Advertise by the Surge valve on the unit we sell. Not the Rated valves. customer ordered to small of a unit for the A/C unit.
