We received a part that was obviously not new... in fact, it appears to be refurbished. The tip of the power cord did not fit in the laptop power port. Upon calling up to report a problem, I was told that I could send the item back and they'd send a replacement if they found a problem.
When I received the replacement I received an adapter with a cord that didn't even match and was obviously used. We were able to use this adapter for a few hours when it simply stopped charging the laptop. The adapter itself had become extremely hot and started to smell as if it were melting. Definitely not the behavior of a new item.
My mistake was not reading the fine print to discover that even when it is their mistake, I'm responsible for the cost of the return shipping. AND if I want to return the item they charge a 25% restocking fee.
But that still doesn't explain how they can advertise an item as "New" when it clearly is not.
