Just another ripped off customer here, wish I knew about this website a little earlier but I will be checking from now on.

DVDcollections.tv is where I found a box set of Judging Amy DVDs. This is what the site says about the product:

As another poster mentioned about his order, these do not look like they came from a factory. They are not excellent quality - looks like someone recorded them from their tv with bad cable reception. They are not what I considered to be a brand new product from a factory. The Single thick dvd case they came in looks generic and it has a badly printed cover inserted into the protective plastic, doesn't resemble the picture on the site at all. All the dvds inside are in plain white dvd envelopes crammed into the case. Each dvd has a plain white label, again looks like it was printed from home, with the title and disk number printed on the label and adhered to the disc off center. Very shabby attempt to try and sell illegal looking dvds as a genuine product.

After receiving this product, I went back to the website to contact them and of course there is no phone number to be found. Only a contact form to email them. I have emailed them with this information using their contact form and also from my own email account to their support department to have proof of my complaint. Their site says that there is a 30 day money back, hassle free, guarantee and that their email support is available 24/7. I have yet to hear back from anyone by email or phone.

Based on the other bad reviews here, I have called my bank to cancel the card I used for this purchase and if I haven't been contacted in 2 more days, the bank will start the charge back paperwork on this company. I will also report them to several agencies in the U.S. and Canada as well as adding a video on Youtube to warn others of this site. At least now that I know about these ripoff reports, I will not be fooled again my a company like this.

I wanted to post a final update since I saw there have been a few more complaints about this company since I wrote my original report. For those that have had their credit cards cancelled, don't give up trying to get a refund. I had my card cancelled as soon as I found these reports about this company, which was the same day that I received the dvd set in the mail. My card was still refunded on the 4th day after I received my last email from them. Below is the final email I received from them, you should get the same one (if you don't, it has the return instructions in it also). Hope you all get it handled as well.

I recieved an email from the company that said they would refund my money. It took about 4 days and the account was refunded for the full amount. I have returned the merchandise and this issue is finally resolved. I still think the company should do more to inform their customers that the dvds are not official releases and that they have been recorded by "fans" so that consumers don't have to go through this and feel like they were cheated in some way. If someone is looking for a "fan" collection, they would not be disappointed receiving an item like this.

Well I received the first email response from this company, it is the exact same email another complaint here received. It is not different in any way and contradicts what the original product description states. The product was not advertised as a collector/fan version, I don't want bootleg products. The email response is below:

Please keep in mind an Official DVD Collection
has never been released for this series and
what you received was a Collectors/Fan
Version.

Unfortunately, there is a problem with the
actual DVD Collection and sending a replacement
set will NOT help as we are no longer dealing
with that supplier.

Therefore, there are 2 options:

1. Receive a $30.00 REFUND and KEEP the DVD Collection

-OR-

2. Return the DVD Collection and get a Full Refund


Please let us know which option you prefer
and we will take care of it immediately.

Guess I'll be filing fraud paperwork on them Tuesday, since Monday is a holiday. Oh well, was really hoping they would have learned their lesson and really tried to solve this.
