Beware fellow horse lovers or concerned horse rescues. Danielle Titland will pretend she is representing a horse rescue or sanctuary and promise to give your horse a good home "forever". Then she will take the horse and sell at auction even after signing a contract. She will sign the horse over to an accompice such as a bill of sale for 1$..then send through auction or re-sell for profit. This woman has been operating in several states and is difficult where she will strike next. She will pretend she is a concerned horse lover and volunteer at rescues to gain their trust and then she can get referrals from local rescues or sanctuary's where she then can obtain free horses.
Why would someone go through that much trouble ...hard to say...except if you get 10 or 15 horses a week or every month and take them by the truck loads with an accomplice then I suppose that could be profitable.
I have first hand experience in arizona with her and tracked down her fake bill of sale, the person who she worked with and the signed contract. I am in contact with the sanctuary she be-friended to obtain the referral for the horse I gave her.
This horse was rescued from slaughter before christmas and a pregnant mare whom we wanted to save from certain death. However after Danielle Titland got her hands on her by saying she was the marketing director for a sanctuary...she turned around and sold her 9 days later at the very auction that she was saved from.
I want every horse owner to be aware of these kind of people....they have no reason for this except profit...or sociopathic behavior.
Be careful who you give your horse too... when you save a horse...try to follow through with where it is going...and get Drivers liceneses....signed contracts...as much information as you possibly can...
